Russian River Vacation Rental house: Guerneville

Secluded four bedroom, two bath, mountain-top home, once featured in Architectural Digest, with hot tub, located on 50 acres with hiking trails, 2 miles from the downtown Guerneville. Wood-stove in sunken living room with U-shaped built-in sofa; formal dining room for eight. Amazing use of different exotic woods throughout this tri-level home. This is the ultimate get-away-from-it-all destination: telephone, but no television reception or high-speed Internet--so remote these are not available, even by satellite. There is a small (22") television in the living room with DVD/VCR for movies.
Two bedrooms have queen beds, one has a double, and there is a loft accessed by ladder with two twin beds--for the agile only. One bath has a combination tub/shower; the other a shower. There is a large deck off the dining room, with lots of outdoor furniture, including two large free-standing outdoor gas heaters. The three-person hot tub is on a deck below, sitting in the forest. This is a mountainous, heavily forested area, with defined hiking trails. Small dogs are welcome, but the owner is concerned about large dogs on the beautiful, not-so-hard, wood floors and stairs. Driveway to house is steep, narrow and long, but in good condition. Washer/dryer. Location: Guerneville CA 95446. One week minimum in July and August.. SUMMER TURN DAY: Monday Turnday: Any.
