Marmaris - Datca area Vacation Rental : Turunc

This is a very large 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom private villa set in the mountains overlooking the bay and the lovely village of Turunc. Situated on the coast of Tukey it is just 20 minutes from the bustling town of Marmaris. The property is clean and well maintained. The property is managed by a local travel agency who are always available to assist with any requests regarding the villa or general queries about your holiday in Turkey; the English owner is very helpful and communicative.

The children, 10,9 and 5 loved the pool and the very large 'play room' where they were able to have fun, scream and shout, and generally vent their energy safely but out of the direct eye of the adults. The beds were very spacious and comfortable as were the living areas. The views from the balcony of both the mountains and the sea are spectacular.

Turunc is a quiet resort enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike, it has a truely traditional feel. For a more lively experience Marmaris has everything that the more active tourist may like to experience. Turunc however offers everything that is needed for a truely brilliant family holiday, good dining (I would recommend Korfez and Hans in particular for good traditional food with excellent service), shops and limited evening entertainment. Many trips are arranged from Turunc our favorite being the Turkish baths, the 5 bays cruise and Turtle beach and the mud baths. Whilst a car is certainly not essential (it is 10 minutes walk to the village and the beach) we found it very useful in getting around and shopping (the villa is on a hill!), taxi's however are cheap and plentiful.

I would certainly recommend this villa and Turunc to anybody who enjoys a bit of luxury and a relaxing holiday but also likes to enjoy and experience some of the traditional aspects of the country.
