Mikri Vigla is a good base for exploring one of the most beautiful natural coastlines in the Mediterranean, inland to the east, west and central parts of the island. Unspoilt beaches stretch for many kilometers in each direction and the closest are only 300m away. Here there is a choice of delightful small sandy bays, and Angali, a long curve of white sand and azure waters, which stretches to the granite boulders of Mikri Vigla headland. The area is a haven for those who like to be away from the busy resorts and holiday makers. Even in high summer it is possible to be alone. Mikri Vigla village is a small beach resort, there are car rentals, kitesurf/windsurf schools, restaurants, cafes, mini-markets and tavernas. Along the coast towards Naxos town there are the wonderful beaches of Plaka, Agia Anna and Prokopios. Naxos averages more than 10 hours of sunshine a day in the summer months and almost no rain in June, July and August. A car is recommended for this villa.
