Our house is part of the lovely Fuentemar Complex, with its well maintained gardens and superb pools. You will find ceiling fans and air conditioning in all the main rooms. The kitchen area has all the equipment required for a perfect holiday, this includes a fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron/ ironing board, microwave, hob and oven. The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, one of which converts into a double bed. There is also a full size table and chairs. There is a TV with SKY for the English Channels or local Spanish ones. The bedrooms are nicely furnished. The bathroom is fully equipped and includes a full sized bath with overhead shower. There is a great roof terrace with views of the surrounding mountains for sunbathing & enjoying that glass of sangria. The pools are one minute from the house, with a separate pool for the little ones. The house is close to a variety of restaurants and has many attractions close by including some of the best golf in Spain.

Unlike the main tourist area of Mojacar, Garrucha gives you the real feel of the Andalusian way of life. Garrucha has a working fishing fleet & port, where fishing boats go out daily and the local restaurants still buy their fish. You feel that you are in Spain mixing with the locals, tasting fresh fish tapas along the port, shopping with the locals in the huge weekly markets, eating in traditional Spanish restaurants. This is an area where you will still get to practise your Spanish. However, should you wish to be amongst a more English crowd, Mojacar beach is just 5 mins drive away, so you have the best of both worlds. 'The hustle and bustle when you want it' and the escape to the peace and quiet when you don't. There are many restaurants of every nationality, bars, snooker & live music close by. To work off some of that food, golf, water sports facilities, paragliding, the local aqua park, karting, scuba diving, and tennis are all available in this lovely area.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of 25% (non-refundable) is required to confirm the booking. The balance to be paid 6 weeks before your arrival date. DAMAGES: a returnable deposit of £100 must be paid with the final balance. Cost of any missing items or damage i.e. loss of sofa will be deducted from the deposit. We don't mean a broken cup or plate. The deposit will be returned to you within two weeks of your departure if there are no missing items like a TV or washing machine or damage. Gratefully, all our guests so far have been very considerate and have left our house as it was when they arrived. If when you arrive something is not working or broken, you must let us know asap. We are proud of our house and want to keep it as welcoming and hospitable as possible. Discounted rates can be arranged for long Winter lets.
  • Directions to the property and directions on picking up the keys will be forwarded once your final payment has been received. We are always looking to improve our house to visitors and all comments will be gratefully received. We would be grateful for all your comments about the property and the local area to be left in the guest book, we are also grateful for any reviews left on 'Holiday Rentals' upon your return. We DO NOT charge extra for cleaning the house. We trust that you won't leave it in a mess and that you respect the effort we have put in to making the house as comfortable as possible. We have it cleaned after every guest anyway. We have tried very hard to make our house a home from home, with some touches to make sure you won't want for anything. All we ask is that you respect it and try not to damage anything.
  • Our nearest airport is Almeria which is only 55 mins from Mojacar. Door to door, There are also regular flights into Murcia (1hour 15mins), Alicante (1hour 45mins) and Granada (2hours). All theses airports are served by a variety of low cost airlines. A full list can be found on our external website. Car hire is recommended during your stay, but there are taxis at the airports and public transport in the Garrucha area.

Notes: There is a lovely roof solarium with patio furniture and 2 sunbeds ideal for private sunbathing. Table and 4 chairs. There is a downstairs patio with furniture which is a lovely area for eating your meals. The satellite television gives you access to all your favourite UK programs. (We can also receive some Spanish channels) We include a welcome pack when you arrive which will be tailored for your arrival time so you can have a drink and something to eat before having to dash off to the supermarket or local market to get stocked up on all the local food.

Things to do & See: About 5 minutes drive from the house is a great Aquapark, brilliant for children and adults of any age. Around 10 minutes drive is Mojacar village, a quaint Moorish village. With it's cobbled streets and white washed houses it has spectacular views. For all you cowboy buffs Mini Hollywood Theme Park is about 45 minutes away, a wild west town is recreated with shows, cowboy museum, restaurants, a zoo with an array of animals. This is where A Fistful of Dollars was filmed along with other famous westerns. Close by at Vera Town is the Vera Bull Ring, this is a historical bull fighting ring, you will have a guided tour by an ex-matador, who revels in his description of this event. There are still bull fights held here today Around 2 hours away after a picturesque ride, is the magnificent city of Granada where you can marvel at the world famous Alhambra Palace, and enjoy the Moorish city itself.

Golf: Garrucha now has several top quality golf courses nearby. Valle del Este, an 18-hole PGA golf course, has been carefully designed along the lines of the courses in the American desert of Arizona and California paying careful attention to every detail and integrating the course into the surrounding landscape to combine holes that represent a real challenge to the player. Undoubtedly this has been designed to play host to Championship events. The views are stunning but don’t let them affect your concentration as very few wayward shots are forgiven. It has its own beach club, restaurant, bar and pool, which is situated directly on the unspoilt Vera Beach. Desert Springs, the PGA overseas home, designed by successful Walker Cup captain, Peter McEvoy, is the only desert course in Europe, located between Villaricos and Cuaves de Almanzora. One is either on lush fairway or chipping back into position from the rugged desert terrain. The Popular Marina Golf is a 5 minute drive away.

The house was more than adequate for up to six people. It hade all the facilities you needed for your stay. It is within easy walking distance of the local beach, and many more secluded ones are a short car ride away.
The town of Garrucha is within walking distance and has a very Spanish feel to all its bars and restuarants. If you are trying to polish up on your Spanish this is the ideal place to visit. For those who prefer more lively nightlife, and an area more geared up for tourists, the town of Mojacar is again a short car ride away.
To help make your arrival easier, the owners provide a lovely welcome pack, and are always close by to give advice or assistance.

Like you we love the location of the house with its close proximity to the towns of Garrucha and Mojacar. Garracha is a great place to have a walk around especially on market day, and has some excellent little restaurants and bars serving traditional spanish tapas. In the evening the restaurants along by the harbour serve some superb fish dishes. We are glad that the welcome pack was of use to you and you had all the everything you needed. "Easy to follow the directions from airport. Plenty of information was available for gaining access to the property, using equipment in the property and contact numbers for if we had any problems. The welcome pack on arrival was excellent and contained everything that we needed initially. The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped and situated in a well maintained and quiet part of the complex. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would definitely consider booking again in the future."

modern villa with excellent facilities THANK YOU

We stayed in this villa during January and have to say we had an excellent time. The owners of the villa were quick to responed to our emails and enquires and have a brilliant website with all the information you need to know about the area, and excellent pictures of the villa and videos.
We arrived tired from our short drive from the airport, and were surprised and delighted when we opened the door to see that the owners had given us a welcome pack with wine, beer, water, bread and lots more!!!!
The villa is spacious, modern, VERY clean, in stunning surroundings, me and my girlfriend never got bored of looking at the mountains from the roof terrace!!!
The beach which is only a few minutes walk away is stunning, and the local town was full of warm and welcoming friendly people.
