Our unique luxury chalet is set in the grounds of the 4 star Katarino Spa Hotel. Situated ideally for the ski resort of Bansko (complimentary bus every 15 minutes in ski season). Summer guests can enjoy hiking, trekking and mountain biking in the Pirin National Park. Furnished to a high standard throughout, the chalet has central heating and a traditional log fire. Step out onto the balcony and walk down the steps into the private south facing garden and enjoy the uninterrupted views over the pine forests and mountains. All facilities of the award winning Katarino Spa are available to guests of our chalet. These include various restaurants and bars, bowling, tennis, table tennis, children's playground, pool tables, ski hire, fitness suite. The spa has both indoor and outdoor pools (heated to 36 degrees), sauna, steam rooms and solarium. This is an ideal location for those who seek luxury at one of Bulgaria’s top skiing and spa resorts. A fantastic all year round destination.

Bansko is the newest and the most rapidly developing ski resorts in Bulgaria. 40 million Euros have been invested, to create a top rate facility with the best equipment, including a new gondola, snow guns, electronic ski pass system etc. There are 14 pistes totalling 65km, including a 16 km run plus cross country and excellent off piste skiing. Bansko is popular with snowboarders; facilities include a half pipe. There is a top class ski school for all levels of ability. For snowboarders and the more advanced skiers there is challenging off piste. Ski and snowboard equipment can be hired at the hotel. Skis, boots and poles for an adult, for 6 days are about 50 EUR. Half price for children under 12 years. Bansko is 5 miles away; there is a shuttle bus which runs every 15 minutes to the bottom of the gondola and back. Opposite the complex, approx 3km is being built one of Bulgaria's first Golf Courses 18 hole, par 72 designed by Ian Woosnam due for completion spring 2008.

Deposits are non-refundable, if you cancel your holiday or do not pay the outstanding balance. An additional refundable £150 deposit is required to cover breakages.

Special Interest Holidays: Bansko lies at the foot of the Pirin Mountains. In the summer it is the perfect starting point for both treking and short walks in the Pirin National Park. Cycling - bikes are available to hire from the hotel. Horse Riding - the Peri Vollas Horse riding center provides qualified instructors and offers riding lessons for beginners, adults and children. A number of Guided Mountain Treks across the Pirin Mountains and Sightseeing Tours from Inter Sport. SPA Resort and wellness centre on site. Few countries can rival Bulgaria's superb mountain scenery, and the spectacular landscape of the Pirin National Park make this an ideal summer holiday location.

Further details: Bansko town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has narrow cobbled streets with stone houses, 120 cultural monuments, museums and permanent ethnographic exhibitions. In the centre is The Holy Trinity church with its 30 m high bell tower and clock, splendid murals and woodcarvings. In summer hiking, climbing and horse riding are popular. Mountain bikes can be hired in order to explore this beautiful region. Local companies can organise trips in the mountains e.g. white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding. For après ski the traditional Bansko tavern ('Mehana'), with their exceptional charm and style offer local atmosphere with their cuisine and good selection of Bulgarian wines. Most of the local 'Mehanas' even offer live folk music. A visit or two to these is a must! Discos and night clubs work without time limit, and usually close early in the morning. As the cost of living is very cheap, your money will go much further here than in skiing resorts in other parts of Europe.

I must let you know what a fantastic summer break I had in your chalet 41. I cannot describe how wonderful the views were. The hotel was excellent value, unlimited buffet for only £8 and the spa prices were less than half UK price! I enjoyed the Zagorka lager at less than £1 per pint. Chalet and hotel facilities were excellent quality at amazing prices.

I had a great holiday staying at your chalet. I was surprised at how large it was and there was plenty of space for our group, it was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed the log fire! The chalets private garden would be great for sunbathing.
The hotel and spa was excellent and all staff were very helpful.
Bansko is a great town to visit, with a mix of old and new. We just could not believe how cheap everything was. We got the free hotel bus to the slopes which was very convenient and it was a relief that the slopes were not too crowded for a good weekends skiing & snowboarding. We hired all our equipment from the hotel which was substantially cheaper than anywhere else. Some of our group had lessons which was good value.
Thanks for being so helpful John & Kim. I will be skiing & renting with you next year, and hope to try your chalet in the summer to explore the Pirin National Park.
