Spacious apartment

We chose this apartment because it had 4 separate beds -one master bedroom with a double bed; one small bedroom with a single bed and a mezzanine bed (a sturdily built loft bed, not uncommon in Antibes) above it in the same room; and one spacious mezzanine with a double bed above the living room. This last could cause problems if the sleeper(s) on the mezzanine wanted to go to bed and others wanted to stay up and party. The kitchen and bathroom had a lovely light but the living room is dull. It's not a flat you'd want to stay in during the day. The dining area is great though. There was an eccentric collection of crockery, cutlery and saucepans and a scarcity of some items, glasses, tea towels, no toaster. We managed fine though using our initiative. It took a while to work out how to use the oven. There's only one bathroom and toilet, However, lots of hot water. It is close to all amenities, shops, restaurants, beaches and transport systems. So, it's not a luxury pad but it was extremely reasonably priced and a great place for less fussy travellers. It's up one flight of stairs and the mezzanines would not suit less able bodied folk. It was very French, we thought, and we really enjoyed ourselves during our week. Thanks to owners and agents.
