Half a block from Windansea Beach, a natural Water Park! This newly remodeled spanish/contemporary home features: Hardwood and stone flooring, fireplace, jacuzzi, outdoor shower, Barbecue, bikes, beach chairs, towels.

Lounge in the backyard and soak-up the sunshine, surrounded by Bamboo, flowers and a Buddha fountain, or use the space for dinner parties.

The front patio faces south so you can enjoy your morning coffee with the warmth of the sunshine.

The kitchen features stainless-steel appliances, granite counters and fully stocked kitchen.

Master bedroom has french doors opening to the back patio/yard. King-size bed, TV and stereo. Master bath features,glass vessel sink, glass tile and travertine stone throughout.

About The Owner

My husband and I currently live in Maui, Hawaii - but La Jolla is my home.

No place else like it! I can walk to the beach and see at least 5 people I grew up with. We all share a common bond of appreciation for La Jolla's beauty and sophistication.

Enjoy surfing, biking, sunsets and people.

Why The Owner chose La Jolla

This location is closest to beautiful and historic Windansea Beach. This is where I surfed in High School and hung out in the summer. This street was lined with old very large cypress tress that created a tunnel effect. New ones are growing up to replace them. Close to shops, unique neighborhoods and walking distance to the village of La Jolla.

What makes this house unique

Walking back from a swim at the beach we use the outdoor shower and hop in the Jacuzzi to really relax! Sitting on the front porch and enjoying the warm sunshine while I have my morning coffee or at lunch time with a book. Walking or biking to the village of La Jolla along the scenic coastline. Farmers market on Sunday. The back patio is great for entertaining with lounge chairs,jacuzzi, BBQ and large marble table that seats 8. The house is equipped with everything whether you are on vacation or cooking a Thanksgiving Dinner. Wood burning fireplace is so cozy in the winter and the AC chills the house down in about 12 minutes. Privacy with the Master bedroom at one end of the house and the guest room at the other.

What a wonderful spot for some R&R. Home is small, but nicely done with 2 updated bathrooms and kitchen. It was perfect .... comfy beds, great front porch and back patio with jacuzzi. Great location. We'd walk up the street in the morning to the bagel shop and then down the street to the beach. Nice sand beach with a good surf spot. Close to La Jolla village and Cove where we explored other beaches, restaurants and shops. Carol was great to work with. Very prompt in her responses and refunding the security deposit. Her description and photos are very accurate. We hope to rent this property again in the future! Loved it.

The Windansea Beach House was excellent. The location, service, layout and amenities were as described. The owner was interactive and attentive when needed. We will be staying here again next year. My only advice for the owners is to ensure that the bicycles are ready for riding. We did have the little sugar ants but a few traps put out and they disappeared. Let me say it again, WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS STAY AT THIS PLACE. Also, the deposit check came back promptly without having to be prompted by me. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great Beach Bungalow

We rented this house for our kids Spring Break. My wife and I and our two children ( 2yrs) and (5yrs). This house had all of the nice extras such as dishwasher, laundry , TV in all the bedrooms, nice sunny porch and a secluded back deck for privacy. The house is a short walk to Bird Beach which turned out to be one of our favorite beaches as it has great rocks and cool formations for our children to play on. The neighborhood is also quite nice as all of the homes on this block are one story homes so you really feel like you are close to the beach with some old school beach charm to the neighborhood.

Here is my parents with kids bonuses:
+ One story, no real steps or large falls to worry about
+ Hot Tub - Better than a pool and easier to manage - no drowning
+ TV in each bedroom
+ Easily fit pack-n-play in both bedrooms
+ Great washer and dryer for laundry
+ Cool Beach - lots of climbing and exploring
+ Close Kids Attractions : Scripps Aquirium, Seaworld, SD Zoo, Children Museum, La Jolla Cove

I highly recommend this beautiful little piece of paradise two short blocks from the famous Windansea beach. It is very clean, well stocked, comfortable, AWESOME location, and the hot tub is great. Everything has been updated and check in was easy, thank you!

Having lived in La Jolla in my youth, I was so happy to find this wonderful property! Just a stroll to the beach and an easy walk to all the best local restaurants. I come down from L.A. park my car and walk everwhere. So relaxing. Both units are tastfully decorated...the front unit being the more sophisticated of the two. The owner has provided all you could need for a beach holiday from bicycles to surfboards. The Mandarin House, up the street, has great food.
