In winter, as well as skiing, Anzère also offers 40km of winter walking trails, 3.5km of sledging runs, 5km of cross-country skiing, ice skating, snow shoe and indoor swimming pool.
In summer, there are many activities which include, walking, mountain biking, trekking, paragliding, rock climbing, tennis or just relaxing by the village pool with stunning mountain views. Nearby, the historic town of Sion, thermal baths, golf, fishing, wine tasting and summer skiing in the Plaine-Morte glacier of Crans-Montana.

Historic Sion (15km) has 2 chateaux, cathedral and many museums.
Thermal baths are 30 minutes away: At 35km, Les bains de Saillon, one the best preserved medieval villages in Switzerland. At 41km, Ovronnaz, the natural spa resort at the heart of the Alps situated at 1350m. At 53km, Leukerbad, the largest thermal spa resort in the Alps.
Nearby Crans-Montana, with 160km of slopes, exclusive golf and shopping, is only 20 minutes away (19km, hourly bus). The immense 400km of slopes in the “4 Vallées' (Verbier) are easily accessed by car or public transport (1 hour). Saas Fee and Zermatt (The Matterhorn) are within 2 hours.
Ski:
Anzère has 40km of runs served by 11 ski lifts, to an altitude of 2500m. Most of the runs are ideal for intermediates skiers. There are good off-piste opportunities and heli-skiing, with substantial vertical drops, on the Wildhorn Glacier (3,247m). This ski area receives more than average snow each season, with an excellent average annual snowfall of 8m. The gondola is 15 minutes' walk or 6 minutes by the free shuttle bus which stops in front of the chalet (50m). Reasonably priced lift pass. English speaking ski school. 4 mountain restaurants.
Nearby Crans-Montana, with 160km of slopes up to an altitude of 3000m, is only 19km away (hourly bus available) and the “4 Vallées' (Verbier), at only 24km, with the immense 400km of slopes to an altitude of 3300m, are easily accessed by car or public transport via Sion, to Nendaz or Veysonnaz.
Golf:
Finest Golf in Crans-Montana (18 hole 'Severiano Ballesteros'): At 19km from Anzère and 1500m of altitude, Crans-Montana is a paradise for golfers with fantastic surroundings. Since 1939, Crans-Montana has been running the European Masters, which is the most prestigious golf tournament in Europe after the British Open.
