Fish and relax!
Here you will have the privacy as if you owned it yourself. Listen to the morning and evening loons talking. This lake has a water clarity of about 15 feet and is great for swimming. Great sand beach, relax and tell stories sitting around a camp fire.
If you are an early riser, enjoy a beautiful sunrise while casting for large mouth bass. Local flea market 5 miles away, every Saturday morning, seems to get a lot of attention from the locals in the area. There is a local bait store nearby including groceries, fishing licenses, tackle and video rentals.

I have been very lucky to find such a beautiful lake home so close to the twin cities. I have decided to share this home with renters untile I am able to retire. This will not happen for about 8 more years. I am in the Masonry construction.I do love to use my cabin when I get a chance. The cabin is close by to the lake home. I do have two separate docks and fire pits for renters and my self when I get a chance to go there.
Loran Georges purchased this house in 2001
I bought this home because it is one of the cleanest lake that I have ever seen. With the water clarity of 15 feet you can see the fish swimming around down there. It has a beautful lake shore also. Lots of sand. And close to the twin cities.
It is so peacefull there and you can hear the loons in the morning and evenings talking on the water. Sitting around the campfire is always great.
Booked this property to accommodate family and friends traveling to MN for nearby son's wedding. What a great choice everyone kept telling me. Location was perfect, there was room for all of us, and time just sitting and looking at lake was wonderful....mornings out the window were pretty nice also. Loran was great to work with. Would highly recommend.
This was our third annual family vacation and the first time at this cabin! We had an absolute blast! We ranged in age from 11 months to 52 years old and there was plenty to do for all! Very spacious yard for yard games, bumping the volleyball around, and just sitting and talking! Lots of yard chairs provided to either sit on the beach or around the fire. The kids LOVED the sunnies off the dock and learned how to "shoo" them away when they got too close. The fishing was great! Caught the limit of the day of northerns...enough to pickle! Yay!! We also loved the beach. Our last years cabin we stayed at did not have this option and it was hard with the little ones. This beach was family friendly and easy to have babies around. The house was great! So much space for all 13 of us! We were able to sit around the living room table or the sun room table without feeling like we were all on top of each other! We stuck around the cabin all but one night. That night we went to The Waterfront Grille, approx. 10 minutes away via car and it was fantastic!!! The food was excellent, hot, and service was fast and friendly! Highly recommended.
We stayed one week in this house at the end of June 2014 and it was beautiful. There were 6 adults and 4 teens and 2 smaller children. The smallest one (aged 2.5) enjoyed the beach so much! Very warm and shallow and she could see the fish because the water was so clear. There were plenty of beach chairs to sit down by the water and watch the kids swim. They enjoyed fishing and caught enough for a small fish fry. They all went swinging on the big swing & had a ball. When it was a bit cold, and rainy we put together a puzzle on a game table. There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty of plugs for their electronics to be plugged in for charging. We would highly recommend this house and Loren (landlord) was so helpful with restaurant recommendations, etc.
My extended famiy had rented this house for the second year. It is hard to find a property that can accomodate all of us (into the teens at times), but this place does so perfectly and easily. With the five bedrooms and spacious layout, there is plenty of room for us all. The lake is so very clear and the fish (sunfish) are eager to bite on anything! We caught quite a few right off the dock. The property is huge with plenty of parking and not too far from the nearby towns and only about 20 minutes from St. Cloud. There is a perfect little beach area, so lots of room for the kids to play! We love this place and would recommend it to anyone!
This lake home was a great find on VRBO for our family! Our group consisted of 9 adults and 6 children, of which 3 were babies. One crib was there and was great to have, the rest of the babies slept in pack and plays. Most of the bedrooms were spacious enough to hold the extra little sleep space for the kids. We had extremely hot weather constant throughout the week and were SO thankful for a great working air conditioning system. The kids both young and old had a great fishing experience. Most of the kids caught their first fish ever right off the dock. Crystal clear water, many, many fish that you could actually see biting your bait. It was so nice to have the 4 season porch to be able to separate (with the sliding glass doors) the early morning coffee drinking bunch from the people choosing to sleep a little later. Perfect living area spaces, kitchen was very nice, filtered water, dishwasher, wi fi, phone service. The conveniences you appreciate when away from home. Nice pontoon parade over the 4th of July. Truly a great experience. We look forward to next year. Thanks Loran!!
The cabin is very spacious! There is a ton of open space - two large living rooms, a huge dining room, the kitchen, and two bedrooms with a bathroom, and beautiful four season porch upstairs all upstairs! The downstairs has another living room, a giant master bedroom with a very nice master bedroom. There was 10 of us, and we all had a bed to sleep and basically our own room to sleep in.
There are a lot of little perks as well, including a pizza oven, an extra fridge downstairs, a lean too over the grill (which we utilized because of the rain), three dining tables, and a great location. Close to St. Cloud and Clearwater, but far enough away that you feel somewhat secluded.
We did not get a chance to enjoy the fishing, beach, or the yard for that matter. It rained all weekend and was very cold, so I can't say much about the beach, etc.
All in all, it was a great experience, and was exactly what we were looking for. It is a very nice cabin with tons of room, in a good location, all for a very fair price. We enjoyed it very much!
