Photos and Description of the Heathfield vacation cottage rental
A beautiful 3 bedroomed cottage which sleeps 7 people.

Little Bucksteep Oast House is a gem of a self catering holiday cottage in Dallington, East Sussex, rated 4* by Visit England. It is a beautiful old English Country Cottage, dating from the late 17th century, set in the midst of the beautiful private gardens of a gorgeous Queen Anne Manor House. Guests have very generous use of the private swimming pool and tennis court apart from Sunday afternoons and Bank holiday afternoons. Oast houses are typical of East Sussex and Kent, and were used to dry hops for beer making.

The Oast has many period features including beams, wooden paneling, leaded windows, old stone walls and a wood burning stove and is furnished with lovely old furniture. The master bedroom has a beautiful 4 poster bed, and with the windows open you can forget the city and just listen to the birdsong and the peace and quiet. Truly a very special self catering holiday home.

Pampering and Exercise weekends and holidays are also available, which incorporate the wonderful Lotte Berk exercise classes, the original ballet barre exercise method, beauty and massage treatments. For the total luxury experience we can also arrange for the weekend to be catered with delicious home cooked food.

Fabulous Little Bucksteep Oast

5 of 5
Submitted: April 3, 2013 Stayed: October 2012
Quite simply the most stunning place to stay in Sussex. The Oast itself is divine, with 5 star hotel quality linens a fabulously equipped kitchen, romantic log burner, Four poster birds and the only noise is the gentle background call of Pheasant and Partidge. The rooms have a fabulous charm and the owners make guests feel wonderful and make sure your stay is guaranteed to be a success. I cannot recommend Little Bucksteep Oast highly enough and hope that you will put it at the top of your list as a place to stay - given the chance, I would stay again.
Owner's Response: We can only say a big thank you to our lovely tenant for this review, and we very much hope she will come again as we loved having her here. Since this visit we have improved the Oast with new throws on the beds, a lovely rug & soft padded coffee table in the sitting room. We are also offering Spa and Exercise weekends/ holiday breaks for those who want to enjoy country quiet with a little beauty luxury and Lotte Berk ballet barre method exercise (ballet boot camp!) as well as massage treatments.

August Family Holiday

5 of 5
Submitted: January 6, 2013 Stayed: August 2012
A perfect holiday location. The owners were very welcoming and happy for us to have a big family gathering at the house. The house was rural, but within 30 minutes to a mainline station. We played tennis and swam in the pool every day and found one of the many lovely local walks without having to take out the car. As keen cooks we found the kitchen well equipped. We would certainly recommend this house to friends and relatives.
Owner's Response: Dear Richard and Ros,

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write a review, I'm really grateful.
I hope you and the family are all well, and we would love to welcome you back to the Oast again some time

Here's hoping we all have a better summer this year...

Best regards,
Fiona

Winter let Nov - March 2012

Submitted: January 3, 2013 Stayed: November 2011
Dear Robert, Fiona and Monty
We loved living in your Oast which provided a sanctuary in the glorious Sussex countryside this winter. Thanks for your hospitality, we felt very much at home. Thank you, Fiona, for making us welcome. The dogs reawakened their interest in sheep, squirrels and pheasants and feel sad they won't be here to educate Monty in a sporting country life,
Best wishes
Alan and Chris
