A second floor 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom luxury penthouse apartment in the prestigious Sirena Lighthouse complex in the heart of Kato Paphos designed to sleep 4 people in comfort. With a large private terrace giving panoramic views of the Lighthouse, the archaeological site and the sea, the apartment is unique.

Part of a modern complex of seventeen apartments with a communal, kidney shaped swimming pool, the apartment is located only 200 metres from the blue flag Faros/Lighthouse beach with its coastal walkway to the harbour.

The large terrace offers those guests who prefer to sunbathe away from the crowds the perfect location and for others there is ample shade available in the form of a retractable electric awning. Other outdoor equipment consists of two large tables and chairs, four sun loungers, umbrellas and a gas barbeque.

Set in a peaceful location just off the Tombs of the Kings road the apartment lies within close proximity to all amenities and everything needed for a perfect holiday stay.

The accommodation consists of an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite.

All areas of the apartment are fully air-conditioned and have ceiling mounted fans creating a cool and quiet environment in the summer months. All the windows and patio doors are double-glazed and are fitted with tinted glass and in addition are fitted with blackout blinds which help keep the apartment cool during the day.

The lounge contains a curved cream 6-seater leather suite, a large coffee table, a sideboard with matching storage units, a flat screen LCD TV and a DVD player.

Wireless broadband is available (download speed up to 4MB) allowing simultaneous access of one or more devices/computers to the internet on a 24/7 basis. Please note that devices/computers are not provided.

Also available as part of the package is internet TV (IPTV) enabling access to 14 TV channels: Sky News, BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV 1, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV 2, Film 4, ITV 3, ITV 4, CBeebies, E4, More 4 and CBS drama.

The kitchen has a large amount of storage space and granite worktops, which provides an ideal environment for preparation of all types of meals and snacks. Kitchen facilities available include: a large fridge-freezer, microwave oven, electric cooker with ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster and electric kettle, together with a full complement of cutlery, crockery, glasses and all modern day utensils.

The dining area, which is separated from the kitchen by a raised worktop, contains table and chairs to comfortably seat six, leads directly onto a large (75 m2) private terrace.

The apartment has two bedrooms (1-double and 1-twin), both with air conditioning and ceiling mounted fans. The bedrooms are furnished to a high standard with fully fitted floor-to-ceiling wardrobes with large amounts of hanging and shelf space. Both bedrooms contain dressing tables/mirrors, bedside tables/lamps and hair dryers; and are also fitted with curtains and blackout blinds.

Fantastic Apartment

Having visited Cyprus many times over the years, I can honestly say that this is the best apartment/location we have ever had the pleasure of staying in, the lay out just works fantastically for a group of 4 with two bathrooms, the location means that if you don't have a hire car the bus stop is just 20 yards up the road and from there you can get anywhere.

If you don't want to eat in, no problem within a 10 min walk there must be over 20 restaurants to choose from and the prices are so much cheaper that the seafront/harbour area. (cooked breakfast at the end of the road for 4.5 euros was the best)

As for the building work, no problem (Life goes on), yes they do start early but they also finish early, we used the terrace every night and it was wonderful

Excellent Apartment

We booked this excellent apartment from the lovely photographs that are displayed on the advert. When we arrived the apartment came up to all our expectations and more.
But the following morning we were woken up at 6.45am when the builders started work on the massive building site opposite, this carried on every morning of our stay, during the course of our 2 week stay we were expecting to use the sun beds on the lovely terrace but this wasn't the case as the DUST and the NOISE from the delivery lorries, and the dumper truck that was continually collecting waste material from around the site and dumping it outside the site into a large heap, which was then collected every few days by another lorry which took it all away creating even more clouds of DUST.
Also the view of the lighthouse is now totally blocked by the building development.

Owner's Response: We regret that so much of your review of our Sirena Lighthouse Penthouse apartment focused so much on the building work ongoing nearby which as you know is completely outside our control.

Whilst we too are sorry that we have lost our previous magnificent view of the Lighthouse we know that it is still there - just a short stroll down the road to the Faros beach or along the coastal path - and that the apartment’s proximity to the sea, local amenities and nearby restaurants remain unchanged with the King’s Avenue Mall being a positive enhancement.

During all the building work (which is scheduled for completion in January 2015) you are only the second guests to even mention a problem and many have returned more than once this year despite these minor inconveniences.

First Class

Just got back from a great week at this lovely apartment. It's extremely well equipped and a lot of thought has gone into trying to fulfill all needs. The Welcome pack was a real bonus, as was having 2 bathrooms. Obviously the huge terrace was a real draw and was put to good use! We found the bus service an excellent and cheap way to get around this time and bus stops are a 2 minute walk away from the apartment, something else in it's favour (I can recommend a weekly bus Hopper ticket as an ideal way of getting around). I would recommend this lovely apartment to anyone and will certainly be revisiting.

We stayed in the Sirena Lighthouse Penthouse for a week and were extremely impressed with everything about this fabulous apartment from the moment we first entered it.

The apartment is very clean, well furnished and equipped and although we ate out most evenings there is everything you would require to prepare meals.

Located in an enviable position on the small and friendly complex the private terrace is huge with gorgeous sea views and furnished with comfortable sun loungers and plenty of seating. Sitting there with a G&T watching the sun set was pure Nirvana! We walked down to the Harbour and back most days and evenings as the apartment is so conveniently situated. Booking the apartment presented no problems and the owners and their agents in Paphos were very helpful. Our damage deposit was returned very quickly and we would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone requiring quality accommodation for a thoroughly relaxing holiday.

exceptionally good apartment

This is by far the best apartment we have ever rented in Cyprus. or any where else for that matter. The location is brilliant as it close to many good restaurants and bars, so no need for a car, it is also within a 2 minute walk of faros beach. The apartment itself is spotless both inside and out and the huge private sun terrace is a great place relax and enjoy a cool drink. Gordon and Elizabeth are a lovely couple and are very helpful, they also respect your privacy while your at their lovely apartment. The booking and payment process is very straight forward and our security deposit was back in our account 2 days after arriving home. This was our 2nd visit to sirena lighthouse and its so good we've already booked up to go back in November, and we hope to return on many more occasions.

The Sirena Lighthouse Penthouse apartment is located just off the Tombs of the Kings Road within 200 metres of the acclaimed Faros (Lighthouse) beach.

The apartment lies within a short walking distance from amenities such as: the picturesque and pedestrianised harbour, safe beaches, historical and archaeological sites and many bars, restaurants and shops.

Local shops are a couple of minutes away for day-to-day provisions and an excellent supermarket specialising in fresh fruit and vegetables is located nearby. Scores of restaurants in Paphos cater for all tastes and all sizes of pockets. Many are found along the sea front and the harbour area and all are well within walking distances of Sirena Lighthouse. Whatever your choice you will always find the quality of food and the service is of the highest standard.

There are four main sandy beaches, some offering a wide variety of water sports, lying within short walking distances from Sirena Lighthouse. A short car or bus journey away is the resort of Coral Bay, famed for having one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island, and with its sparkling clear waters, safe swimming and sports facilities – this is a favourite with tourists and locals alike.

To the north of the Paphos region, lie the resorts of Polis and Latchi. The Akamas peninsula situated to the north west of Paphos is a unique area with outstanding varied vegetation, wildlife, landscapes and coasts. On the south coast of the island, lies 'Petra tou Romiou', the location where Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love emerged from the sea. Aphrodite's Rock, as it is better known, is a massive chunk of stone that marks the spot; her birthplace was a place of pilgrimage for the entire Hellenic world.

There are many historical and archaeological sites within Paphos including the archaeological museum, the House of Dionysus with its impressive mosaics, the Tombs of the Kings and the medieval fort at the harbour, from where boat trips operate. Churches and monasteries are plentiful and include the churches of Ayia Solomoni, Panayia Chrysopolitissa, where can be seen St Paul’s Pillar, where it is said Saint Paul was flogged at some time before Roman Governor Sergius Paulus converted to Christianity.

Choose between four international standard 18 hole golf courses all situated within a 20 minute drive from the centre of Paphos. The world-class Elea Golf Club, part of the prestigious Elea Estate, commands a breathtaking location alongside the shimmering eastern Mediterranean. At 6.900 yards (par 71) from the back tees, the Sir Nick Faldo-designed golf course has been meticulously crafted through rolling countryside, featuring imposing weathered outcrops of limestone that offer a unique character across the course. Minthis Hills Golf Club (6060m par 72) was founded in 1994 and is set amongst the orchards and vineyards of a 12th century monastery, nestled in a gentle valley on the outskirts of Paphos and at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level, ensuring cool breezes during summer months. The aptly named Secret Valley Golf Course (5989m par 71) is tucked away in a superb valley just 18 kilometres east of Paphos and is set in scenic hills surrounded by mature trees and dramatic rock formations offering panoramic views. Aphrodite Hills (6200m par 72) is an award-winning integrated golf, leisure and real estate development. With spectacular views over the Mediterranean and dotted with native olive trees, the course is built on two plateaux separated by a dramatic ravine.

Skiing is concentrated on the slopes of Mount Olympus, which at 1,952 metres is the highest peak in the Troodos Mountains. There are six different runs on the four main slopes, two in Sun Valley and two on North Face. Aphrodite (150m) and Hera (350m) slopes are suitable for beginners. Hermes (150m) and Zeus or Dias (500m) are suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers respectively. There is a ski school and ski equipment for rent at Sun Valley and catering facilities at the slopes. The Cyprus Ski Federation organises annual ski competitions. Facilities at Troodos may not be as developed as those of established European ski resorts, but they are more than adequate to satisfy local and foreign visitors. The length of the ski season is unpredictable depending on snowfall, but it usually begins in January and continues through to March, sometimes even to April.
