Things to do away from the villa........:
Their is SO much to see and do in this part of Turkey, just type in OluDeniz area in your computer now to see the amazing Blue Lagoon, its natural beauty will leave you wanting more! This stunning beach area is open 10 months a year. It offers all of the beach activities you would expect including tandem paragliding (off the mountain- its great!!), micro lighting, jet skiing, donuts and so much more. It also offers restaurants, nightlife and market shops too. From here you can go on a 12 Island boat tour (including Butterfly Valley), which includes your lunch and transfers and is a whole days activity- for just £10 pp. Fethiye, meaning 'Land of Lights' is just that. A vibrant bustling city. Here is where you can see the cosmopolitan marina and beach area & then go on to the markets and restaurants and if your feeling energetic enough you can visit one of its nightclubs or bars. Hisaronu is a Tourist Paradise. If your looking for Restaurants, bars and clubs- look no further than here.
Jeep Safari / Coach Tours/ Car Needed Excursions:
Most of the tours include all of the following stops in one day & lunch included for approx £15pp...Saklikent- is one of my favourites. It is a 328 feet long (100m) Canyon, second to the infamous Grand Canyon. Words cannot explain its mightiness. Just see how far you can make it down the gorge against free flowing clear, COLD mountain water & don`t forget that you need to get back too!!...KayaKoy- Ghost Town, is as it sounds airily spooky, but a must see destination. It was a settlement for the Greeks until they were made to leave back in 1922..Tlos is one of the oldest settlement sites. It is an old Ottoman site and is an interesting stop on the tour...Patara Beach. This amazing beach is over 21kms of soft sandy beach. It was the home of famous war lords such as Alexander the Great. Surrounding the beach area is ancient ruins and colosseums..Yakka Park. This place is a great stop. It is a trout restaurant where live trout swim through the middle of the bars, so you can pet a fish.
Day Excursions:
Trips to Dalyan, more commonly known as Turtle Beach (3 guesses why!!) are available for approx £15 pp. A mud bath and lunch is included, plus the chance to see one of the last breeding grounds for the loggerhead turtles in the world! Trips to Ephesus & Pamukkale (the great white salt terraced pools and ancient city and amphitheatre) are appx £40 pp. This includes overnight accommodation in a 4/5* hotel with dinner and breakfast in the hotel with entertainment. In Marmaris there is a waterpark- tours will take you to Marmaris for £10, but the park entrance is excluded (sorry I do not know the entrance costs, but doubt it would be a lot). Marmaris is worth visiting anyway- it is like Calis and Olu Deniz, a beach resort with all you would expect. Other activities include white water rafting, Trips to Rhodes, horse riding, jeep safaris (recommend this over coach tours- take some sweets to throw for the local children in the mountains- makes getting between the stops much more fun).
Other Activities:
Jeep Safaris, Boat Excursions, River Rafting, Trout Farms, Beach Water sports, Canyon Walking, Coach Tours, Markets, Turkish Baths and so much more...
