A sat tv and comfortable sofa feature to the living are and a separate fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table provides the ideal place to relax informally and enjoy a morning cup of coffee, before embarking on a day of discovery on the lake! All the desired home from home appliances are provided for guests including a gas hob and oven, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher.

The outside covered terrace provides the perfect sheltered spot for alfresco dining during your stay and for dining out options guests need look no further than the pretty nearby village of Dongo, with its great selection of authentic bars and welcoming ‘Trattorias’ all just a10 minutes drive away.

The sleeping accommodation in the apartment is spacious and flexible with upto 6 guests being able to comfortably stay. What a fantastic break! My family and I enjoyed a lovely break on Lake Como. The property was modern and really nicely furnished. The directions were very clear and precise. The location was rather quiet but it was perfect for visiting our friends on the north of the lake and Madesimo ski resort for the day. We also liked the fact that there was a Pizzeria just a couple of minutes walk from our apartment, we ate there twice!!

Germasino:

The tranquil hillside location in the picturesque village of Germasino and just 15 minutes drive from the vibrant resort of Gravedona, this beautiful holiday home enjoys the best of both worlds!

The nearby town of Dongo is a commune in the Como Province in the Lombardy Region, and lies on the northwest side of Lake Como. The town has It has a population of almost four thousand and is famous for capturing many powerful fascist leaders on April 27 1945, including Benito Mussolini, as they attempted to cross the Swiss border. Like Musso, those who relish history will thoroughly enjoy Dongo.

In the centre of the largest piazza stands the Palazzo Manzi, although at one time it was an aristocratic residence, it is now the town hall and tourist information office.

The area is especially popular with sailing enthusiasts, where both sailing lessons and boat hire are available. Other water sports available in the area include windsurfing and kite surfing.

The town has a number of historic landmarks to visit including the majestic Palazzo del Vescovo (Palace of the Bishop), this was which was erected in the 1600s by the Marquis Cossoni's family. Much later in 1854, Carlo Romanò who was at that time the Bishop of Como, acquired the building from the family.

In 1983 the town of Dongo aquired the building. The citizens of Dongo, assisted financially by the Comunità Montana Alto Lario Occidentale, shortly thereafter initiated the complete restoration of the Palazzo. The building now houses the Civic Institute of Music 'Alto Lario,' and the International Piano Academy Lake Como.

Gravedona is a beautiful lakeside village with lots of amenities providing a variety of grocery shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, boutique shops and a romantic promenade with spectacular views from this northern village. It is a municipality in the Province of Como, which is located in the Italian region of Lombardy.

The name Gravedona was originally that of a castle and medieval fortifications located in the village. Artefacts from pre Roman times have also been found in the higher part of the village confirming it's historic roots.

There is plenty to occupy sporting enthusiasts as there is a public Lido for swimming, Tennis Courts, a Football pitch and numerous Cycle and walking routes. Next to the beach is a sailing centre, where both sailing lessons and boat hire are available. The 'Lake Feast Festival' takes place during August with numerous festivities and also a spectacular fireworks display.

Two Churches worth visiting are the Church of San Vincenzo, which was originally built in 1050 and rebuilt around the 17th and 18th centuries. The crypt dates from the 6th century and has been preserved from the original building. The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria del Tiglio is constructed in black and white marble and is quite spectacular and dates back to the 12th century.
