Superb Guest House in the heart of the Austrian mountains. The house is 500m from the centre of Kaprun in a quiet cul-de-sac ensuring a peaceful nights sleep. Start your day with a hearty breakfast produced from local farm fresh products. We have 7 large comfortable rooms all ensuite and some with balcony. Our bar and lounge area offers you the opportunity to relax in the evening. We have a sauna and heated ski/ boot room for your use. There are many walks directly from the house, the beginners ski / board slopes are 20m away and the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier makes Kaprun a snow sure resort. Kaprun offers you numerous opportunities for adventure, fantastic scenery and a place to relax. There are many famous and interesting attractions within easy reach. Kaprun is situated in the Hohe Tauren National Park in the heart of the Alps. The Kitzteinhorn Glacier is 3023m, the Schmittenhohe Mountain at 2000m and the Maiskogel Mountain ( the family mountain) at 1675m are all nearby. The picturesque town of Zell am See and it´s famous lake together with Kaprun form the Europasport Region. The highest waterfall in Europe, the largest ice caves in the world and the high alpine pass are all within easy reach. For a little history visit Hitler´s Eagles Nest and the historic city of Salzburg, the Christmas market should not be missed.

If you are looking for a less pricey alternative to the usual catered chalet or hotel, then this is great alternative. Very clean, good sized rooms, great shower (lots of warm water) and very comfortable beds. Good breakfast too. Trish and Steve are great hosts and go out of their way to help you with your needs. A short walk to the ski bus stop. Ideally located if you want to ski in both Zell am See and on the Glacier, ski bus takes about 10 minutes either way and then you need to take the gondolas up onto the slopes. There are lots of great restaurants in the centre of Kaprun which is a 10 min walk (I stayed at Zell in March and I think the restaurants are better in Kaprun). We will definately be back.
