House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Spacious, bright, charming and well appointed three bedroom, two full bath family home on very clear/clean John Joseph Pond with own private beach in Harwich. Extremely large wrap-around deck overlooking the woods and pond for a relaxing read or good outdoor meal. Enjoy freshwater swimming, boating and fishing without ever leaving home.

Centrally located--only five minutes to award winning Cranberry Valley Golf Course; five minutes to the Cape Cod Rail Trail for stress free bicyling; 10 minutes to Red River Beach on the Nantucket Sound; 15 minutes to charming Chatham for unique shopping, band concerts and Cape Cod Baseball League games; and 15 minutes from beautiful Skaket Beach (CCBay)or Nauset Beach (Atlantic Ocean) in Orleans. Outdoor shower available after salt water swim.

The main floor has a light filled living/dining area with views of the pond from each window with sliding doors opening on to the large deck. All newer appliances in the kitchen, washer/dryer downstairs. Upstairs, three spacious bedrooms, one queen with air conditioning, one queen and one with two twin beds. Downstairs there is a play room. Sleeps six persons.

About Becky Lewis

We have had this house in our family since the mid 1960's, when my mother decided to build on this little piece of heaven she discovered getting lost one day in Harwich. All our holidays were spent there--it is nice even in the winter. It served as a place for our family to come together. In fact, my husband's family lived across the street and we met while wind surfing on the pond many years ago.

Why Becky Lewis chose Brewster

It is our place to get together as a family...and extended family. Being directly on the lake makes time spent there memorable...fishing, canoe rides, paddle board rides and swimming of course. The location is also central to many other wonderful areas on the Cape.

What makes this house unique

Again, being in the spacious house, winter or summer, with swimming and boating in the summer and long walks on the beach in the winter, make it our homeport.

Our house is directly on the lake (John Joseph Pond) with its own beach. The deck is very large and allows for playing and sitting and sunning, as well as having most meals al fresco! Close by you'll find the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking and the Cranberry Golf Course within a mile of the house.

One of the nicest days you could have there, one we have frequently when we are there, is to go to Skaket Beach, a Cape Cod Bay beach in Orleans, for a long low tide walk or high tide swim in peaceful salt water, then come home to the pond and take a fresh water dip.
