Photos and Description of the Canico vacation apartment rental
A self catering apartment with magnificent views and tranquil setting

Situated in the stunning locale of Canico de Baixo the apartment is 10min drive from the airport and 10min from the City of Funchal. Overlooking the beach of Reis Magos it offers amazing views out to sea and of the nearby 'desertas' islands in a very tranquil area. 1 large living room that continues through double patio doors onto a large balcony overlooking the sea, TV, Video, DVD soundsystem. 2 bathrooms (1 en suite), 2 bedrooms 1 with double doors leading onto the balcony and fully equipped kitchen and dining area plus a parking area and elevator access. 1 min from the beach, local fish restaurant, other restaurants and bars plus the bus stop is only a 2/300 meter walk. From here you can easily reach Funchal and the many Levada walks that are dotted around this area.

Scuba Diving: The base is located in Madeira's sole underwater nature reserve which is the only one in the Atlantic with the DIN-Certification and it has received awards for the best diving base

Car Hire: Car Hire can easily be arranged for you. Please request a quote when booking. The car can be picked up by you and returned to the airport. All travel details will be sent by email to you. Alternatively a transfer from the airport can be arranged plus there are taxis are right outside the airport.

Golfing: Palheiro golf course is only 7 km away or 15 min by car. Classic hills, ridges,deep valleys and thoroughfares have all been incorporated into the terrain to produce a dramatically interesting course, with stunning views. Arrangements can easily be made for our clients at the Club (bookings etc) as well as a free informal chat with the local British golf captain and his wife, great, if you would like a more in depth guide.

Also the spectacular 27-hole Santo da Serra golf course [also known as Campo de Golfe part of the PGA European Tour] is within easy reach - 13 km away. This is Madeira’s oldest golf course. It sits high up on a plateau and is marvellously scenic with inspirational views back up the mountains and out over the Atlantic below.

Transfers: Transfers from the airport can be easily arranged by me for you. This is arranged with a local company who will pick you up from the airport and take you directly to the key pick up desk. They will also wait should there be any problems with delays, plus there are taxis are right outside the airport if you would prefer to make your own way there.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment very much. We were here for the second time. The sea view from apartment is fantastic, especially in the morning to the rising sun. The apartment is very clean. It is very near to beautiful beach. The owner is very kind and helpful.

We stayed at this apartment in August, the accomodation was excellent with everything needed for a perfect holiday. The apartment has wonderful sea views. The beach is within five minutes of apartment (terrain in Madeira is very steep, so a bit of a pull back up) well worth it. There are some very good places to eat within a short distance of apartment. Owners were extremely helpful with lifts to and from airport, also with information on what to do in the area. I would recommend this apartment as a home away from home to anyone looking to experience the beautiful island of Madeira away for the hustle and bustle of a major city.

Fantastic apartment

We spent a very enjoyable week in this apartment. It was very spacious, light and airy and it certainly had stunning views from the good sized balcony. There was every thing you needed to be completely self sufficient, It is furnished to a high standard and we had everything we could possibley want - except for a cheese grater!!
We were warmly welcomed and Avril was always on hand to give us any help or information we needed. We were also pleased to find it easy and safe to park. The apartment is ideally situated to visit some lovely places all in close proximity. We would happily recommend this accommodation to any one
