During winter there is only a short trip to an eldorado for cross country-snow board or down hill skiers. During summer you can just hang out in the popular park, nearby shopping and dining aera or walk to the city centre in 15 minutes. From here you can take a short ferry trip to the Viking Ships Museum, the Folk Museum and the Kon Tiki Museum at Bygdøy. Or go swimming at Bygdøy’s popular beach Huk. Or you could go out to one of the islands for swimming or sightseeing. Many museums (Edvard Munch, Gustav Vigeland Park & Museum etc) and the beautiful new Opera is in the centre. Oslo has quite a hectic nightlife with bars, music clubs and restaurants to cater for any taste. And during the summer there is only a few hours of darkness. Temperatures in summer vary between 16 to 25 but can reach 30 degrees centigrades. During winter temperatures vary between minus 1 to minus 15 centigrades.
