Just a 30 minute drive from Faro airport, new townhouse located in an exclusive complex of approximately 30 properties on the edge of Fuseta (or Fuzeta) in the Eastern Algarve between Faro and Tavira. Amenities include 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1bath/shower, 2 showers), WiFi internet, satellite TV/DVD, air conditioning in all rooms, rooftop terrace with jacuzzi and spectacular views of the Ria Formosa nature reserve and the ocean. Two other terraces and patio complement the comfortable indoor space. Guests have access to the private two-level swimming pool and clubhouse. The two main bedrooms have king size beds, en-suite bathrooms, built-in wardrobes and individual terraces. The third bedroom has twin beds with similar wardrobes and is adjacent to the third bathroom. The large rooftop terrace’s amazing views can be enjoyed from the patio furniture or relaxing in the private jacuzzi. Kitchen includes gas stove and electric oven, fridge /freezer, toaster, kettle, washing machine, and standard cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Linen, and bath and beach towels are provided. This bright modern town home is well-equipped for all your holiday needs.
Transport: The Algarve is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Every year tourists come to the south of Portugal to soak up the sun. Faro Airport receives direct flights from several UK and many European airports. The unspoiled town of Fuseta is just 23 km from the airport and close to an excellent motorway connecting the western Algarve all the way to Spain just a ½ hr away, with the cities of Seville and Cadiz highly accessible. While a car is desirable to explore the region around Fuseta, it is not essential. Many of the Algarve towns are joined by a local railway, so why not leave the car and take the train across the Algarve from Vila Real Antonio at the Spanish border across to Lagos in the West.There are so many interesting stops like historical Tavira, Olhao and Faro. The single line runs through Fuseta with stops in most of the towns so if you are looking to visit the many charming and historical towns like Olhão and Tavira, then it is a very cheap and easy option.
Other Activities : Besides the beach and lagoon, fishing and water sports are also popular with sailing and windsurfing possibilities. Another option is explore the hills or travel along the Algarve Coastal Path on bicycles which can be hired in nearby Tavira with free delivery to Fuseta.The property is just a few feet from the Path which traverses the whole south coast from Cape St Vincent to the Spanish border. The Algarve provides top-class birding almost any time of the year. Its variety of habitats and location attract breeding and wintering species including flamingos and it is an important stopover for countless birds making their way to or from Africa. The Algarve is full of history and heritage: still standing today are buildings and walls dating back to the Roman times as well as reminders of its Moorish influence in towns like Tavira.
Fuseta is also an ideal location from which to visit many of the Algarve's great golf courses. The town is perfectly situated for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses in the Eastern Algarve. There are five courses within 20 km, whilst the many championship courses of Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago are only a short drive away.Despite its close proximity to the major tourist centres like Albufeira and Vilamoura, Fuseta lies in a semi-rural unspoilt location, and is the spot for a relaxing family break or a romantic holiday. Fuseta is a small fishing town in the eastern Algarve. The area stretching east from Faro to the Spanish border forms an unusual lagoon landscape enclosed by sandy islets, much of which has been declared a protected area. The quaint ocean-front village with its shops and small restaurants and bars is a 10 min walk from the house. It has everything to meet your basic needs. At the waterfront, there’s a small ferry to the Ilha Armona with its 10 km sandy beach. The train station is also close-by from where the coastal train travels the width of the Algarve. The town beach, just a 12 min walk, is located on a calm lagoon, with safe swimming at high tide, beach combing at low tide, and great for young children. For more adventure, take the ferry over to island to enjoy the miles of ocean beach, sand dunes and interesting flora and fauna. The town offers a plenty of restaurants, cafes and bakeries to experience the local specialities, like barbecued chicken, and of course, a good variety of seafood.There is a small grocery store within walking distance, and the station is adjacent to it. Other shops and a larger supermarket open 7 days a week are located in the town. The local market at the quay offers fresh fish, meat and produce every morning except Sundays. There is an outdoor market every Thursday and a flea market once a month at the waterfront,. It is just fun to roam the streets of this lovely, unspoiled town, meet the friendly locals and stumble across the shops, banks and post office which meet all your needs.
