Nerantza House Rental Photos and Description
A 2013 entry at Homeaway of a renovated villa for memorable holidays.
Be the first to visit this villa, right by the sea that we bought and renovated in early 2013! The house has a very large veranda overlooking a 500-sq.metres garden next to the beach. From the veranda you can watch an amazing sunrise while having your breakfast. Cosy living room with new sofas and a brand new, fully equipped, spacious kitchen where you can cook anything you wish and dine either on the 8-person dining table or outside, enjoying the view – choose wherever you want to eat or relax, any time of the day.
The house has two spacious bedrooms, one with a large double bed and one with two single beds that can be joined. The living room also has a large double sofa bed and a closet. A large (almost double-size) sofa bed is provided in the connected dining room/kitchen area. The brand new fully renovated bathroom with shower is also a plus.
The house is bright and cool in the summer and warm in the winter. You can have relaxing holidays in a house located right in the centre of the village. The villa, previously owned by a minister, is considered a local landmark.
If you’d rather enjoy a meal out: within two minutes walking distance you can find a couple of diners serving pizza, crepes and Greek souvlaki, quite a few fish-and-steak taverns, as well as a restaurant with more elaborate Greek cuisine right by the sea.
Nerantza is a quiet picturesque fishing village that has preserved its character. However you can also get a taste of Greek night life in the nearby village of Vrahati which is 30 minutes away by foot and only 10 minutes by car. There you can also find organised beach bars with sunbeds and many more taverns, as well as an open-air film theatre in the summer. This is the place that the world-famous composer, Mikis Theodorakis, chose for his holiday villa.

The fishing village of Nerantza is the place I spend my holidays and most of my free time since I was born. It is a great escape from the city of Athens only one hour’s drive away. Only 5 km away you can visit the city of Kiato with its picturesque port where you can find fishing boats and buy fresh fish right on the spot, just as they are pulled from the nets!
The village of Nerantza is full of fields with lemon trees, orange trees, grape fruits and olive trees, so you can easily find plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit.
If you want to avoid driving for some days Nerantza has mini markets, a pharmacy, places to eat and have a drink and of course amazing beaches for swimming and sunbathing.
I love Nerantza and would like to invite you to get to know this place too.

It is ideally located at a beautiful beach on the Corinthian Bay. Situated only 1 hr or 95 km away from Athens, easily accessible from the highway, the villa is half way between Athens and the port of Patras (that connects Greece with Italy’s Ancona, Bari and Venice). There are many places of interest in the area directly around the villa: the ancient town of Corinth, the fortress of Ancient Corinth (Acrocorinthos), the Corinthian canal, the spa and casino of Loutraki. Day excursions can be made to Epidavros, Olympia, Delphi, Mycenae, Nafplio and Athens.

The village lies directly on the north coast of the Peloponnese, 10 km west of Corinth, not far from Athens. To date, the village remains largely undiscovered by foreign tourism. The villa is located near the centre of the village, close to a mini market and taverns offering Greek speciality dishes and good wine.
The surrounding area :
The region is very close to Athens, therefore during the weekends a great number of city-residents visit the area. It is suitable for an excursion any time of year, but it can also be combined with other remarkable excursions in the Peloponnesus. You can find significant archaeological sites and wonderful beaches, casino and all these just a short way from Athens.
Arrival and Distances:
Distance to Athens airport 120 km
Distance to railway station of Zevgolatio (right after Korinthos) – 7 km
Distance to Motorway – 10 km
Distance to Super Market – 50 metres.
Various beach toys and a canoe are provided free of charge, and the use of a motorboat can be arranged.
Apart from quiet shores the lake of Vouliagmeni can also be reached by motorboat (by car too) since it has an opening from the Corinthian gulf!
As they are not part of the rent, there is no legal right to them. If they are not provided, no reason for a rent decrease or similar claims occurs. Anyhow, those items have to be used carefully and have to be left clean on their dedicated places on the day of your departure.
Just five metres separate you from the sea. Taverns, beach bars, a fun park for children (walking distance), watersports at nearby Corinth or Loutraki.
The village is also inhabited during the winter months and all of the shops are open 7 days a week. A supermarket, a butcher’s shop, cafes and taverns are all within easy reach by foot. A famous ski resort is a one-hour drive away. From there you can easily reach the Greek carnival towns of Patras and Loutraki. The latter, a health and spa resort with spring waters and a casino, is 20 km away.
