Behind this charming red-brick facade lies a modern, contemporary home. The ground floor contains a large open plan living, dining and kitchen space, with flat screen TV, DVD, stereo with Ipod dock, washing machine, dryer and fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs are 2 bright and charming double bedrooms each with own tv and fitted wardrobes and luxurious bathroom with bath and shower.

This 1920 guiness home was completley renovated in 2009 to produce this fantastic home in Dublin's charming Liberties. Walking distance to all of the great sights and night life Dublin has to offer. Wireless Internet installed in June 2012.

Luxurious city centre cottage

We stayed for a ladies' break as a group of three old college friends and this place was absolutely perfect!

Ann greeted us on arrival with lots of tips of great museums and cafes to settle in, then Sean stopped by to say hello - both were really friendly, helpful and welcoming

The cottage is an old Victorian house that has been completely refurbished inside to a very high standard with 2 good double bedrooms, a modern kitchen and bathroom and double sofa bed in the lounge with downstairs loo as well. It is very central being only 2 mins from St Patricks and Christchurch Cathedrals, but is on a very quiet side street giving the best of both worlds

We spent hours at that kitchen refectory table drinking tea and chilling out with the radio or giant plasma TV on. Bliss. Thank you so much to Ann and Sean for making us so welcome

Long Weekend in Dublin

We thought the place was wonderful even if we only gave it 3 stars, more on that later. Location is centeral to Dublin but does require a good amount of walking. However Dublin is an easy city to walk. Clost to Christ's Church. Neighborhod at night can feel a bit unsafe but to be honest we NEVER had any issues so that may be unfair. Not a lot of eating or shoping near by but again, walking in Dublin is so easy. Do not bring a car as parking would be a nightmare anyway.

As for the house, it really is nice and beautiful, but only thing keeping it from a a 4 star (location keeping it from 5) is the fact that it just needed better up keep. The house need a good dusting and overall cleaning could have been much better. Items like chairs broken and such just needed attention. However none of this took away from the stay. We did enjoy it .
Owner's Response: Dear Chris, thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate people taking time to write. I would like to address a few issues for future tenants. The area our house is in is very safe, but as it is a city centre location, it sometimes lacks the glamour of a seaside resort from which you would need taxis or public transport to restaurants and shops. We are very fortunate that we are one of two houses on the homeaway website that are truly walking distance from the city centre (less than 15 minutes).
Since your stay, we have changed the cleaning lady as we felt she was not up to scratch, so I do take on board your comment. As for broken chairs, that is my fault. I choose pretty chairs for the house, but in hindsight a sturdier chair would have been a better option. So, I am off to rectify the situation and purchase new chairs. I am glad your enjoyed your stay in Dublin, I think it is a wonderful city, full of old world charm. Kind regards, Trisha.

Spacious apartment in central location

My father and I just stayed at the apartment for a 5 day trip and I would highly recommend this space for its comfort, cleanliness and awesome location. We were met at the bus stop by the apartment caretaker who was incredibly friendly and gave us tips about what to see and helped orient us with the map (also left fresh baked Irish soda bread, jam, milk etc.). It is very conveniently located to all major sites of Dublin especially for those who don't mind walking (though there were plenty of bus lines within a couple of blocks). Most importantly, it was quiet - I live in Manhattan so appreciated the lack of street and neighbor noises. The only thing that would make this a perfect, 5 star apartment is if there was wifi Internet access. I don't necessarily need to check my email everyday on vacation, but I do like to look up pubs and restaurants last minute because I don't always have time to do the research up front. Speaking of pubs, there is a great one across the street from the brazen head on bridge street called o'shea's merchant that had a great pub food menu, served relatively late, was a local crowd and had live seemingly impromptu music on a Tuesday night. If any family or friends plan a trip to Dublin, I will point them to Trisha and this apartment. Thanks for the great stay!

Great location - Class Condo

We had 2 days in Dublin for the Chili Peppers concert and could not have picked a better location - both Patricia & Sean are very quick to help with any details - and make the whole process very easy.

The condo is very central - a 5 minute walk to temple bar - 20 minutes to O'Connell St - it is very clean & well maintained - good shower & plenty of room to lounge around.- I will try to stay here anytime I travel to Dublin.

Thanks for the welcoming gift Sean - a very nice touch.

Loved the Liberties and this apartment

This apartment was exactly as it appeared in the photos. We loved the area. Far enough away from the tourist areas but close enough to walk to them. The apartment is well maintained and very clean. You can see the care that Trisha has put into her apartment. Trisha was wonderful to deal with. She always answered my emails promptly and had great suggestions on where to go, shop and the like. Payment through Paypal is convenient and secure. We were met at the apartment by Sean who was terrific and offered lots of info about Dublin. He even had bread, jam, tea and other items waiting for us. Nice touch. The only negative is that our visit was too short. I highly recommend this apartment. You won't be disappointed.
