Photos and Description of the Beer vacation house rental 4 Bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 7-8. Discount may be available for 2 people.

Beer is a beautiful unspoilt village on Devon’s Jurassic coast. As part of England’s first Natural World Heritage Site the area is steeped in history, from the ancient cliffs to the Quarry Caves, and fishing community. The area provides families with a traditional seaside holiday and walkers with miles of beautiful coast-line and countryside. Loughwood is a newly built, four-bedroom, three bathroom, property just a short walk from the beach. The furnishings are contemporary, with an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen has a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave oven, and the utility room has a second fridge - with icebox - washer/dryer and an old-fashioned clothes airier. The bedrooms are stylish - two have en-suite facilities - and the twin room is downstairs. The back garden is south facing and provides a sheltered spot for outdoor entertaining. Broadband is available free of charge. Although a car is recommended it is not essential.

Beer village is unspoilt and fishing is still an important part of life here. Situated on the Jurassic Coast, the area is steeped in history and outstanding natural beauty. The area is fantastic for walkers, with beautiful coast-line and countryside, and stunning sea and landscapes, making Beer an all year round destination. Apart from the village itself, with its local shops and galleries, the property is within easy reach of other pretty, traditional, seaside towns and villages such as Branscombe, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth, many of which have sandy beaches. For big name high street shopping, Exeter is about half an hour away. There are also many family attractions close by including Pecorama, which is just around the corner from the property, Beer Quarry Caves, Seaton Tramway, the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth, Crealy Adventure Park close to Exeter and Bicton Gardens. Beer Regatta week is always popular, as is the Sidmouth Folk Festival.

Fantastic property

Review Submitted: October 5, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This house is absolutely perfect for large groups. We had two adults, two teenagers, two children and a toddler and there was plenty of room for us all to have our own space.
The open plan living area is fantastic and we were able to enjoy several family meals at the brilliant dining table. The kitchen was equipped superbly.
Another big plus for us was plenty of bathrooms!
Although the weather didn't allow us to make the most of it the garden and patio were lovely - we did manage two meals at the outside table.
The couple who manage the property for the owners were helpful and really really friendly - bought us a big bunch of sweet peas from their garden.
The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and we would describe this property as a luxury property.
The village of Beer was lovely, with all the amenties that you could need. However our teenagers wanted bigger shops and this was provided by a trip to Exeter - buses leaving regular from the village centre. It is a steep walk into the village but one that we did at least once a day.
We would definitely recommend this property and are very keen to return again soon.

Review Submitted: October 8, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We have just returned from a long weekend at Loughwood - such refreshing break. The house was immaculate, clean, extremely well-equipped (we have small children) and we instantly felt at home. We had good weather and made the most of the garden - fantastic outdoor area and BBQ. We'd recommend Pecorama for the children, and mackerel fishing - wonderful experience!! Chris and Eileen were incredibly helpful and welcoming and the whole experience was restful and totally stress-free. The owners have thought of everything. We will be back! Rachael, Tony and family

Excellent holiday home

Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. Comfortable, spacious, light, modern & very clean. Has everything you need, brilliantly equipped. Owners have to be congratulated, they've thought of everything. We are 2 adults & 5 'children' - aged 14 - 21. The wireless, ipod speakers & dvd player were much appreciated! as were the fab kitchen, utility room, bathrooms & comfortable bedrooms, no complaints at all. We had a lovely week, loved Beer & the surrounding areas & hope to be back again. The managers of the property, Chris & Eileen, are welcoming, friendly & helpful, as a previous reviewer has mentioned, they manage this without being at all intrusive. Friendly warning - if you like to sleep with the windows open, the seagulls start squawking very loudly, very early! If you're a 'hot sleeper', take a fan with you!

Fantastic house in a beautiful location

Wisdombrushes Southampton
Review Submitted: August 17, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Definitely the best holiday house we have stayed in yet. The house is ideally situated, beautifully decorated, well equipped and spacious. Perfect for sharing with family or a group of friends. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to keep everyone happy. Booking was extremely easy, with lots of communication to keep us updated. On arrival, the owners were really welcoming and friendly, and this continued throughout our stay. They couldn't have done more for us.

Beer is a lovely fishing village, with lots to do in the surrounding area for all ages. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

Beer holiday home

Review Submitted: August 11, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We stayed at Beer 1st week of August 09. Four adults & five children, we had a fantastic week with the house far exceeding our expectations. It was incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated and very well organised - it only took a few hours and it felt like home! We were made very welcome by the couple who maintain the property and even got gorgeous fresh Sweet Peas one evening! The property is very baby and child friendly and the facilities are extensive. Beer itself is a really charming fishing village and the whole area is delightful. We would definately revisit in the future.
