The Chalet is a quaint Sri Lankan home beautifully restored in the village of Kathaluwa and is only 2 to 3 minute walk to the closest beach. A well maintained garden with blooming plants and a high boundary walls secure the property.
A 12 x 40 foot out door pool to swim and relax in.
The chalet has two air conditioned bedrooms with attached spacious bathrooms and dressing rooms.
Each bedroom can sleep two comfortably. On request an extra bed can be added.
Dressing rooms has racks to store your bags, antique cupboards and clothes racks.
Bathrooms - spacious modern bathrooms, with hot and cold water. Rainfall shower.
Living area cum TV room has comfortable sofas and ceiling fans.
Dining and living on the verandah facing the garden and pool.
A long carp filled pond separated the main house from the well equipped kitchen and luggage/store room.
A cot and high chair can be provided to children accompanying parents.
All sitting areas have ceiling fans to keep you cool.

From the Chalet it is less than a 1 minute walk to South Point Villa and South Point Abbey.
The Chalet is fully equipped.
Guests have the option of renting on catered or on self catered basis.

Located midway between Galle and Matara it can be used as a base for day excursions to game sanctuaries, and
tropical rain forests.
Less than 1 minute walk to South Point Villa and South Point Abbey, which are luxury private beach villas.
Mirissa is approximately 20 minutes away. Whale watching expeditions can be arranged.
Unawatauna is approximately 15 to 20 minutes away- where you get many beach restaurants and night life
Wild life parks - Day trips can be arranged. Udawalawe and Yala which is about 3 1/2 hours drive. Here you get to see elephants. leopard and many varieties of wild life.
Turtle hatchery - 15 minutes away.
Hadunagoda Tea plantation - You can have a guided tour of the tea plantation and factory. See how tea is produced, taste a variety of teas which are available. Have tea and cake at the planter's bungalow. 15 minutes from the Chalet.
Galle Fort - A UNESCO declared heritage site. 16 km to Galle City.
Koggala lake - go on boat rides
Peacock Point - see a working fruit, cinnamon and tea plantation. A quad bike is available and mud tracks for older children. Kayaks and paddle boats available. Wild peacocks roaming on the 12 acre estate.
