Ideally located for Goodwood, Cowdray Park, Petworth Park and surrounded by miles of beautiful walking country. Four large double/twin rooms (2 en-suite) 2 with LCD TV. Big lounge with oak beams, inglenook fireplace and a log fire, DVD. Beautiful fitted kitchen with solid beech worktops, integral dishwasher. Large 2nd lounge also with DVD/video and sofa bed. Utility room. Fully enclosed garden with 'range' barbeque. Now with Wi-Fi Internet connection, Sky TV and large screen LCD TVs (42' in lounge). Linen/towels and heating included. Tiled areas have underfloor heating.

In between Midhurst and Petworth, Yaffle Cottage is at the foot of the South Downs, on the outskirts of the village of Graffham. Set in woodland and surrounded by miles of beautiful walking/riding countryside. There's lots to do nearby; Petworth House, the fascinating Weald & Downland Museum, Fishbourne Roman Villa and, the less well-known, but excellent Bignor Roman Villa. Polo at Cowdray Park. Any number of golf courses nearby. There is fishing and shooting available locally. There are even vineyards to visit! The seaside is no more than 30 minutes drive. You can go antique hunting in Petworth or indulge in excellent relaxed shopping in the pretty cathedral town of Chichester or sophisticated Guildford. It is also perfectly located for Goodwood horse racing or motor rallies. And I haven't even mentioned the wonderful pubs and restaurants nearby ... for example the internationally unknown 'Three Moles' pub - famed for its real ales and total lack of food!

This lovely, peaceful cottage is ideal for a family get-together - very well-equiped, spotlessly clean and deceptively spacious. The kitchen is a delight and the delicious home-made bread inspired us to buy a bread maker of our own!
Plenty of nearby walks in beautiful countryside and good local pubs are a bonus. We had great meals at the Fox Goes Free at Charlton, a very pretty village.

Over the years we have stayed in many cottages and Yaffle Cottage has to be amongst the best, if not THE best. We thoroughly enjoyed our two-family holiday in this beautiful cottage. There was loads of room for us all (4 adults, 5 children aged 2-14). The rooms are all very large (and spotlessly clean) and it is great to have two lounges so the children can have their own space (and watch their own films). The kitchen really is fab, and again, immaculately clean. The garden is secluded so complete privacy is not an issue and we particularly appreciated the large range BBQ. The home-made bread on arrival was a lovely touch and the underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms was a real treat! All in all, we were delighted with our stay and felt that our every need had been catered for.

Yaffle Cottage is in an idyllic setting. There is no sound from surrounding roads, the area is beautiful and as such it's the perfect place to unwind. The cottage features all the mod cons (Plasma tv's, fussball table, everything you could ever want in a kitchen!). The stars look amazing there on a clear night as there is very little light pollution. Alex is the perfect host and I couldn't think of many places i'd rather spend a week.
