A self-catering apartment in the heart of Nice near the Negresco hotel

Rue de la Buffa. Renovated in 2007, with new bathroom, kitchen, separate toilet room. The apartment has luxurious new kitchen,boasts the latest in appliances with an induction cook top, washing machine, refrigerator and freezer with microwave. The apartment faces north onto an inner courtyard. We have central heating and air-condition. The parka floor add a classy touch. One of the apartments is on the first floor, the other is on the second floor. The Art Deco building, was built in the 1900s called ' Buffa. There is a lift. We are only 2 blocks from the world-famous Negresco hotel and the Promenade des Anglais beach front, this is the best neighborhood in Nice. Walk from here down the Promenade des Anglais to get to Old Nice, or 1 blocks to the pedestrian zone with its animated nightlife. Restaurants, caf?-terraces, art galleries and all manner of shopping are close by. We are 100 Meters from the Sea.

Ski details: The apartment is Situated on 26 Buffa two blocks from the Promenade des Anglais and Nice beach. Hotel Negresco, Palais de la Mediterranean, Nice port and marina are all within a 15 minute walk. Place Massena is 2 minutes walk away, across the Nice Tram. Shopping is a 7 minute walk away with Galleria Lafayette and Avenue Jean Medican lined with fashion boutiques. Hire a bike in the old town and take in the promenade des Anglais. Take a car, bus or train to Cannes, Antibes, Juan Le Pain or Monaco. All are within 30 mins to 1 hour away. Visit the Cannes film festival, Monaco Grand Prix or spend the night out in Juan le Pain. Go scuba diving off Cannes for the day or spend the evening in the Casino in Monaco. Spend the day in Marineland and Aquasplash park in Antibes, only 15 minute drive or 30 minutes on the local bus. Fancy the day Skiing ? Valberg is an hour 10 mins by car from Nice with skiing from November to April.

Travel from the Airport: Travel to Nice International airport is only 15 minutes away by Bus, with cheap flights from many UK airports via Go and Easyjet. All main hire car firms represented including Easy Rentacar. The apartment is only ten minutes walk from the bus station with its frequent (half hour) service to Nice airport. Fifteen minutes walk from the train station with frequent trains along the coast to Marseilles, St Tropez, Antibes, Nice and Monaco. The TGV provides a fast connection to Paris and London.

I travelled to Nice - hand luggage only - for a long bank holiday weekend with my girlfriend from Thursday 21st May 2009 until Tuesday 26th May 2009.

Avoiding the bank holiday helped keep the flight costs to a minimum.

The administration procedures for reservation/deposit/final payment/key collection were extremely efficient.

The apartment is a short bus journey from the airport (few Euros) and an even shorter walk from the bus-stop in Nice!!

Entering the building was straightforward - the actual apartment was exceptional.

Very clean and extremely functional.

The mezzanine floor with the double-sized shower cubicle was a real treat.

We never cooked in the apartment itself - though there was a fully equipped kitchen (with fridge and washing machine).

The apartment is only a five-minute walk to the beach. It is also only a few blocks from the Avenue Jean Medecin where you will have access to Nice's premier shopping centre,Nice Etoile, and the main shopping district, and the city centre. A grocery store, Internet café, a pharmacy and a bakery for fresh croissants are just across the street.There are large supermarkets on Avenue Gambetta and Rue Dalpozzo,only one blocks away. Strolling along the Promenade des Anglais to the Old City, you will enjoy its lively restaurants, bars and animated nightlife. On the way to the beach is Rue de France,a typical French pedestrian street with many sidewalk cafés and restaurants.The train station is only 5 minutes away with direct service to whole French Riviera such as Cannes, Grasse the perfume Capital of France, Monaco and Antibes. No need for a car, everything is accessible on foot. Only 2 blocks away is a lovely park for sitting and strolling,on the intersection of Gambetta and Victor Hugo.

Hi, my name is Denis Rosembert and this is our family business Chez Denis Restaurant and Guest house. Together we run a Caribbean restaurant in Norwich (french-creole cajun style) and holiday apartments. We have a six bedroom guest house in Norwich next to the Caribbean restaurant in Norfolk. There are 4 Golf courses nearby, Costessey, Barnham Broom, wensum valley golf club and bawburgh golf club. We also have fishing Lake nearby, Barford Lake.

wonderful apartment

It was our first stay in Nice and we had a wonderful time in this lovely apartment. It was clean and very comfortable - perfect for couples.
And it is located in the heart of Nice - not far away from the beach, restaurants, the bus stop to the airport, the train station, which we used to go Monaco and Cannes. Also the old town is within walking distance so that you need no car. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time!

Not Such A Great Apartment

The apartment has a great location, its clean and renovated. The apartment is NOT suitable to accommodate 4 people. The corridor from the elevator to the apartment has a strong smell of urine and cigarettes. The washing machine was broken and we lost part of our clothing in it since its door didn't open and the owner didn't bring anyone to fix it. (we were never compensated for this).

An excellent flat in Nice!

I stayed in the Denrose apartment with my mother and sister in the spring of 2013. We found the flat to be a great home base for our time in Nice. Markets, tabac and shopping are close by, as are the city's main attractions. The flat was a tight fit for 3 adults, but we expected to be in close quarters, so no worries. We used it for sleeping and preparing meals, not lounging around all day. We had confusion with entry to the building and obtaining the key to the flat upon arrival. This caused some angst, as we arrived in the evening and did not yet have working SIM cards for our American cell phones. I was able to contact Denis, though, and he directed us to a hotel around the corner for the night. This allowed us to get some rest and pick up the keys in the morning. He reimbursed us for the cost of the room promptly upon receipt of the flat key after our visit. Thank you for a great holiday in Nice!

Great Apartment in an excellent location!

We stayed in apartment 112 for 7 days in September 2013. My husband and I were very pleased with the apartments amenities and very happy with its excellent location...We did not hire a car on arrival and quickly found that it was very easy and inexpensive to get around on foot or by bus or train...The apartment was immaculate and within a short walk of the promenade/beaches...The train station was also an easy walk away...We had everything we needed in the apartment to enjoy a self-catering break for 2, and the owner provided excellent information on transport links and returned our deposit within days of returning the keys..This apartment is excellent value for anyone wanting to see Nice/Monaco/Cannes/St Tropez/Eze/Villafranche and we managed to see all of these and more in just 7 days!

We loved the apartment and Nice

I would definitely recommend staying here since the location is so central in the city of Nice and offers excellent day trips from the apartment. The price is very reasonable especially considering its location and the owner, Denis, was great to work with. The apartment was modern and clean and had a 2 story loft with the bedroom up the spiral stairs. The apartment was just a few minutes to restaurants, beach, Casino and sightseeing. You can also take the bus from the airport and you have about a 2 block walk to the apartment. We loved visiting the city in September since the weather was beautiful and not that crowded. We would recommend taking day trips to both Eze and Saint Paul.

Amazing holiday

I have stayed with my family For a week in both Denis' apartments in Nice.
The apartments were very nice, well equipped with anything necessary. Their location was superb, right near the center.
Denis' service is great, he is always available and carry out any request.
A short example:
We had a problem with the electric stove, and in order to solve the problem quickly, he let us buy a new one, and payed us back the following day.

In conclusion - I strongly recommend his apartments. If I ever come back to Nice I would definitely rent it again.

    45 Euros paid on departure for a professional cleaner.
    Full payment required 6 weeks before arrival.
    Bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival full payment is required on confirmation.
    Payment can be in personal cheques in GB pounds or Euros.. Security / damage deposit of £150 payable before arrival. This will be returned to you when the keys returned..
    Bank transfer accept or credit cards. Please note Paypal has a charge.
    Please return the keys as soon as you return.
    If there has been damage to the apartment or its contents, keys have to be replaced or the apartment has not been left in a reasonable condition, an appropriate refund, or invoice, will be sent to you.
    Rental period timing. The rental period begins at 2pm on the first day and ends at 10am on the of departure. Cancellation Fee 6 Weeks before travel is £150. After 6 Weeks is none refundable.
  • You are not entitled to occupy the apartment outside these limits.
    Cleaning is not included however we would expect the apartment to be left in a reasonable condition i.e. clean and tidy.
    Taking reasonable care of the apartment.
    By agreeing to rent the apartment, you are agreeing to take good care of the property. You are also agreeing not to act in a way that would cause a nuisance or disturbance to our neighbours or the other residents of the adjoining and nearby properties.
    Accidents can happen, but please report without delay to us, any defects in the property, or breakdown or breakages in any items, equipment, machinery or appliances in the property. We, or our managers, will attempt to make arrangements for repair and/or replacement as soon as possible. Breakages. Please remove all rubbish.
    Please replace any small broken items with new items, as close as possible in appearance to the original. If anything larger or difficult to replace is broken, please contact us
  • Liability
    Sorry, but we cannot be liable for the theft of any of your possessions whilst they are kept in the property or buildings.
    We will not be liable to you:
    a) for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor for the failure of:
    any equipment, machinery or appliance in or around the Property.
    b) for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond our control.
    c) for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to, or suffered by you if the Property is destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period, so rendering it uninhabitable. In such an event we will advise you of the facts promptly, and refund to you all the sums previously paid in respect of the rental period, without deduction, but our liability shall not exceed the amount you have previously paid. 6 People can stay in the apartment comfortably. The apartment is in an ideal location, quiet, private and away from the main promenade area but a short 3 minute walk takes you to the main thoroughfare and a further 5 minute walk gets you to the famous Negresco Hotel. Casinos, bars,restaurants are all on your doorstep. The railway station and bus depot are all within easy walking distance from the apartment, from there the Cote d'azur is your oyster. Rue de Buffa is a direct route to the heart of Nice and the Messena Square. The apartment was clean and warm and very comfortable and had a fully functional kitchen with all the necessary utensils to allow for self catering travellers. An excellent boulangerie is just 1 minute from the front door and numerous grocery shops are only a few minutes away. I would definately book this apartment again,
