Set within a private close The Swallow is a stylish chalet bungalow situated in a great location with a short stroll through the dunes to the sandy beach and the village centre.

The Swallow has been completely refurbished in 2011 both inside and out, with no expense spared. The inside has been redesigned to provide spacious open plan accommodation. The newly fitted kitchen, dining and living room is immaculately finished to give a light and spacious living area. The new double glazed windows and doors, cladding, patio and flowerbeds all completed in Oct 2011 makes this chalet a delightfully place to stay for your family holiday.

Living Area: Completely refurbished in June 2011 the entrance porch opens into the open plan living area, with sitting room, dining area, and kitchen. The new oak laminated flooring and décor gives this area a light and airy feel.

Sitting area; a new large leather corner sofa comfortably seats six with wonderful views of ‘Baggy Point’ in the distance. There is also a wall mounted 32” colour TV with DVD player, Digital radio, ipod docking station and board games for your enjoyment.

Kitchen and dining area; Fully fitted kitchen with electric fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, 4-slice toaster, fridge freezer and slim line dishwasher as well as all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you will need. A full size dining table seating six.

Bedroom, bathroom and utility: Bedrooms; 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6. One double room with a double bed, two bedside cabinets, reading lamps, triple wardrobe and electric heater. Two twin bedrooms each with two twin beds a bedside cabinet, reading lamps, double wardrobe and electric heater. All bedroom linen is included

Bathroom; electric shower cubical (no bath), WC, hand basin with electric water heater and electric heater. (Please bring your own towels)

Utility cupboard; washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board

Exterior: The Swallow's is situated in its fully enclosed grounds making it a safe environment for all the family. Its established hedge gives privacy whilst being a sun-trap for those who enjoy lazing in the sun.

The rear garden is partly laid to lawns and has a large patio area with garden dinning table and chairs to enjoy.

Off road parking for two cars.

We stayed at the Swallow in June and had a great time and loved the chalet.
The opportunity to return was too much to resist and so we were lucky to be able to immediately relax for a few days in our favourite Croyde home from home.
We have stayed in Croyde many times but never in September and was surprised how lively things are.
Looking forward to getting back as soon as possible

Fantastic Beach Holiday!

What a perfect way to spend a week at the beach. Croyde Bay Beach is literally a stones throw away. The kids could chuck on their wetsuits, walk through the dunes, and there you were at the beach. The surf was great, and the beach well patrolled.

The house was nicely decorated, and finished a to a modern style. Very well stocked, with everything (and more) you could ever need.

Plus, a short 10 minute stroll and you are in the heart of the village, with 3 pubs/restaurants within walking distance. This meant we could have an evening meal out, whilst the kids were happy to play on the wooden climbing areas.

One negative - an outdoor tap/hose would have been ideal to wash down after surfing.

We would highly recommend, and definately return again.

We are always looking for ways to make the 'Swallow' more comfortable for our guests & agree that an outside water supply would make life a lot easier, we are in the process of looking in to the possibility of installing an outside shower for next year.

Our best holiday in Croyde!

We have been holidaying in Croyde for the last 16yrs & have stayed in some great houses, but I would say that this was the best!. The challet has been carefully & beautifully refurbished and is now presented as a clean, modern, spacious & comfortable holiday home with everything you could wish to find, we were particularly impressed with the all the items we could take to use on the beach, and they were such good quality.
Swallow is In a great location, easy walk to the village and an equally easy walk to the beach, however, the garden is a wonderful sun trap for those lazy days!
Swallow is as lovely as it looks on the pictures and Croyde never fails to please, we will be back again next year and will definitely be returning to this challet , this year there were just the 4 of us, but the challet can definitely accommodate 6 really comfortably, so our teenagers are already deciding which 'friend' to take with them next time!
(if possible could you arrange an outside water supply or big bucket and hose, so it's easier to rinse wetsuits off, and somewhere to hang them?-thanks)

We also spend our holidays at the Swallow and really try to make it a home from home, your comments regarding an outside water supply have been noted, this is something we have been thinking about for a while and we would like to install an outside shower hopefully before next summer. We have visited Croyde many times and know the properties well and this is our favourite.
It has been refurbished to a high standard and is in a great location.
Please don't book it, we want to keep it entirely for ourselves

4 degr. but Kids went surfing - thnx hot shower

We just wanted to say THANK YOU! It was a wonderful and lovely time at The Swallow – we really enjoyed it and liked surfing at Croyde Bay.

We can confirm the clean condition of house, furniture, beds and even kitchen and utilities. We often have arrived at other places and started off with doing the dish washing first…

As we had a ferry crossing and 1000km / 650miles gone with five in a car it was lovely to even find some teabags, sugar and milk powder in the kitchen.

We will come back to the Swallow!

Croyde Bay is a renowned premier surfing beach.
