Les Roques is situated between Girona and Figueres in rural countryside, and is ideally situated for some of the best Costa Brava beaches in Spain. Les Roques has many country walks with spectacular views of the Pyrenees. The nearest town is historic Bascara, with picturesque views of the River Fluvia, is only 5 minutes away and has many restaurants, bars, a supermarket and farmers market every Sunday morning. The popular resort of L'Escala is only 20 minutes away as is the town of Figueres, made famous by Salvador Dali. Both have many restaurants, shops and bars with market days. The well known Salvador Dali Museum is in the centre of Figueres town. Nearby Camallera has direct train connections to Barcelona. Port Lligat, the coastal village where Picasso once lived, is approximately 60 minutes drive away and also boasts another Salvador Dali Museum. Only 15 minutes away is the famous Roman ruins of Empuries Brava, near beautiful St Marti with its panoramic coastal views.
