APARTMENT IN A QUIET AREA NOT FAR FROM THE SEA

My husband and I spent 5 fabulous days in Manarola and it was a perfect spot to explore all of Cinque Terre. We flew in through Pisa airport and found the train travel into Manarola very convenient. Franco had informed us of all the info we needed prior to and during our trip . . he was very helpful! (and we definitely enjoyed the fresh lemons left for us in the kitchen from the trees in the garden). The apartment was classic Italian which we loved and from Manarola the 4 other towns of Cinque Terre were easily reachable via train, ferry or walking - and walking the Villa Dell' Amore to Riomaggiore is a must do during the day and in the evening. Manarola itself is a true Italian experience particularly where the apartment is, and the Trattoria Dal Billy which is just steps from the door we found to be the best restaurant in town with AMAZING views. There are many other great restaurants and entertainment down by the port and lots of little grocery stores to stock the kitchen if you are cooking. Upon return to Pisa we stored our bags at the train station (another tip from Franco) and were able to walk to the famous leaning tower in one afternoon. So all in all a fantastic experience and we look forward to future visits!
