Perfect for one or two

What I admired most about this apartment was the thought and care that went into making a very small space seem open, sunny, and spacious. Since I don't spend all my time sightseeing, I look for a place that is comfortable for spending off time, and this apartment was perfect in that way. Sliding doors to the very large terrace (much larger than it looks) let in lots of light and fresh air, and the terrace itself doubles the living area.
The location is excellent. In addition to its proximity to the Vatican, the metro, two markets and a variety of restaurants, including an excellent artisanal gelaterie, are just a few steps away. In addition, Loredana stocked the apartment with a bottle of wine, bottled water, and fruit, very welcome after a long day of traveling.
Lovely and convenient as the apartment is, it would not be the best option for everyone. It is small, so people needing lots of personal space or time away from each other might feel cramped. The bathroom and shower, like most in Rome and throughout Italy, are very small, making it difficult to maneuver for very large (vertically or horizontally) people. If arriving by metro, one must climb 50+ steps from the level of that street to the street the apartment is on, so if you have a lot of luggage or would find it difficult to climb the steps, get a taxi.
But for this traveler, the apartment was worth every penny and a wonderful place to spend my downtime while in Rome.
Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your beautiful review on my apartment
I hope to have you again as my welcome guest
