We found Veronique's wonderful apartment to be just as described and shown in the photos- very well maintained and clean , with all that we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the windows was wonderful, it was nice to escape the bustle of the city and chill out. Having said that, with the metro just a two minute walk away, getting into the city was really easy. Veronique was really helpful and I would undoubtedly stay here again and recommend to my family and friends. Great place.
One beautiful week of bliss in this beautiful apartment. We LOVED laying in bed and looking at the view across Sacre Cœre. Vèronique was amazingly kind and helpful when our baggage failed to arrive and she liaised with the airline for us in French and finally recovered it for us.
Metro trains were very convenient and Montmarte was in walking distance. Truly the best Paris dream holiday we could have hoped for. We have already recommended the apartment to others. Thank you so much Vèronique and Jamie.
My husband and I booked this vacation rental in Paris for our 25th Anniversary trip. I have to say this was the best vacation rental we have had to date and we have used VRBO quite often in our travels. Veronique was a fantastic hostess. Any emails and inquiries were responded to promptly and the information she provided in advance regarding metro travel and airport transportation was exceptional. The accommodations were the highest standards. The studio was clean and very modern and had all the amenities required. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from the apartment were spectacular! Veronique's instructions to get us there were perfect and she and her husband were helpful in getting our luggage to our suite. She provided great information on what to see and do in Paris and was available by email for any of our needs. We inquired by email about a place to eat for our anniversary and she suggested a local café a block away. Little did we know she had phoned them ahead of our arrival to let them know we were coming and that it was our anniversary. They had prepared candles, special house drinks and had baked a chocolate cake just for us and presented with candles and all! Needless to say, we were taken aback by the hospitality and generosity of our host and her attention to us. We would highly recommend this vacation rental.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights about two weeks ago. The bright colors in the furnishings and the studio's clean, modern lines make it a restful and welcoming place to come home to.The place is small but spotless and beautifully designed. No space goes unused, there's a modern bathroom and an amazing amount of storage space for clothes, books, miscellaneous, which makes everything tidy.
In Paris, it's a rare treat to have a real view. The pictures here don't lie. The windows overlook the Montmartre cemetery and, off in the distance, Sacre Coeur.
There is some traffic on the road that runs right by the apartment but we found that closing the sound-proof windows solved that problem at night. And for some cooling off--it was July--we used a fan, which Veronique kindly supplied, so had no trouble sleeping.
The studio is convenient to various subway and bus lines.
We especially loved the charming 1/2 block walk to the apartment through the Cite Pilleux, an artists' colony of two-story houses with lots of flowers on the pedestrian path. Because of this, living here in the summer has a very special warmth and relaxed ambiance. It's like being in a secret world within the big city.
Most of all we appreciated Veronique's warmth, promptness, efficiency and professionalism. There seemed to be no end of screw-ups (all on my side, not hers) but she was always flexible, gracious and understanding.
My husband and I throughly enjoyed the time we spent in this apartment. It is conveniently located in Montmartre, very close to the metro stations, shopping, and restaurants.
Upon our arrival we received such a kind welcome from Veronique and her husband. Throughout our stay Veronique was always willing to help explain anything about the area, and give advice on things unfamiliar to us.
The apartment is really so well thought out and compact. Literally everything we needed during our 4 week stay was there at our disposal. It is a wonderfully clean apartment, with a very comfortable sofa bed, and built in cabinet space for clothing as well as other belongings. There is a combination washing machine and dryer, a compact bathroom and shower, as well as a kitchenette for meal preparations. It was a perfect place for us. It is hard for us to understand why anyone would stay in a hotel when amenities such as these could be available to them, particularly for an extended stay in Paris.
Finally, we would recommend this apartment to anyone who is able to climb stairs.
The apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was near a subway stop and a local market which was convenient and always felt safe. Veronique was so accommodating and made great recommendations for local restaurants that were out of the normal tourist scene. She also helped us arrange an early morning cab which was greatly appreciated to avoid travel anxiety. Overall, I would highly recommend the apartment to others and would love to stay there again.
