An 1830s Hunting Lodge set amongst 17 hectares /40 acres of Sub Tropical Gardens

If you enjoy waking to the natural sounds of mountain streams, birdsong, wind in the trees and the sea in its many guises you should stay here. There are three unique suites available to rent. Situated to the side of Kells Bay House, they are adjacent to the Primeval Forest and Walled Garden and afford intimate access to the wonders of the 40 acres / 17 hectare Sub Tropical gardens.

The individual apartments have been sensitively refurbished to offer luxury accommodation to visitors.

Two of the suites have views of the bay, however this is one part of the Ring of Kerry where the scenery of the immediate environment outdoes the bigger view!

The suites all have discrete entrances to afford maximum privacy to guests.

There is private access to the Blue Flag beach, via a 200m walk through the Gardens.

The accommodation is conveniently situated on the world famous Ring of Kerry with Dingle Bay to the front of the property.

This special one bedroom suite is situated on both the first and second floors. The Suite is accessed via 10 cut stone steps to the rear of the House. The entrance hall opens to the kitchen/dining room. Off the kitchen is a comfortable living room. Both these rooms have excellent views over the gardens to the bay. The stairs in the Living Room leads you up to the Bedroom with its King-size bed. This is the highest room at Kells and enjoys three different aspects of the gardens and bay. The bathroom is situated on the 1st floor. A separate Utility room is off the Kitchen to store and accommodate the washing machine and Dryer. This apartment comfortably accommodates two people.

About Billy Alexander

Kells Bay House and Gardens are owned and run by the husband and wife team of Billy and Penn Alexander. In a fusion of East and West they manage the discrete components of plant nursery, exotic gardens, cafe and Sala Thai restaurant that constitute the family business.

In plant circles Billy is a widely known pteridologist (fern expert) who has travelled the planet in pursuit of exotic plants, many of which can be seen throughout the wonderful gardens at Kells. Penn, a native of Southern Thailand, is a fantastic chef specialising in the dishes of her native land, but keen to satisfy a wide variety of palates.

Together they share a commitment to quality accommodation, excellent hospitality, fresh food and great wine to ensure a memorable experience for all their guests.
