This sunny waterside apartment at the Marines de Cogolin and just two miles from St Tropez, is an ideal base for exploring some of the prettiest perched villages of the South of France as well as the Cote d'Azur from St Tropez to Monaco. With the famous Port Grimaud on it's doorstep, many beaches including Pampalonne, you don't need to travel far. Relax, sunbathe, swim or shop and eat!, you don't need to move off the Marina.

There is a sandy beach with sailing school, private tennis courts and swimming pool with small refreshments and a good selection of bars and restaurants for al fresco dining. The marina is kept in immaculate order, is private and services boat hire, chandelry and tuition. This second floor apartment, has a comfortable lounge with balcony overlooking the sea, a well equipped kitchen and is surrounded by well-kept Provencal gardens. There is a bathroom with shower and separate WC, good sized double bedroom with balcony overlooking Port Grimaud.

The Cote d'Azur / Provence / Var region: The apartment is in the Department of the Var which is still a very unspoilt area of the Cote d'Azur. It has sunshine for most of the year and the apartment is available year round. Although quiet during the winter months, it is very pleasant and we offer discounted winter rates. Spring and Summer months are hot and sunny with temperatures often reaching 32 degrees C. There are many lovely perched hill villages in the area and in the summer months many Festivals and Fetes. The beaches are sandy and easily accessible and there are endless water sports, fishing, sailing, diving, snorkeling to name just a few. Eating out of doors and enjoying the good local wines are another of the pleasures of this lovely area.

The Marina: The Marina was built over 25 years ago and has now matured and is beautifully maintained. The gardens are a delight and the Marina is a hive of activity for serious boating people. The surrounding Maures mountain range give a stunning backdrop to this waterside village.

There is a patisserie, many restaurants, cafe, shops in the marina. The heated pool overlooking the marina(recently updated) is a stone's throw away and only used by residents. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and has bars and sports as do the beaches in Port Grimaud a 20 minute stroll away. Here the bustling main square 'Place du Marche' has restaurants, cafes, shops and a market (Sunday & Thursday).

One can explore by foot or by boat, cycle all the locality has to offer and by car the rest of the Cote d'Azur awaits!

The Apartment: The apartment is situated on the second floor with secure access. From the balcony there are fantastic views along the fairway to the Bay of St Tropez, you can either relax in sun loungers enjoying the view or eat in true Mediterranean style under the sunshade.

We use the apartment ourselves frequently so it is fully equipped with a good selection of services, crockery and utensils. and furnished as our second home so is very welcoming.

There is ample parking outside the entrance to the apartments and because the Marina is gated from 8.00 p.m. - 8.00 a.m. the site is secure.

A welcome information pack is provided on arrival. English-speaking representative available by telephone to answer any questions.

Please note that swimming pool is usually open from mid-June to the end of October, subject to a small entry fee (approx 3 Euros per person per half-day). Swimming passes can be purchased for half-day, day, week, month or more for a discount.

We shall return

Due of our inquisitive minds we decided to pay a visit to the South of France because we had not been there before. We are so pleased that we chose this apartment for our first excursion there.

The apartment was so clean, comfortable and more than fully equipped for our stay. We did most of own catering and my wife found it no effort at all to prepare our meals, which we then transferred to the balcony to enjoy those wonderful views of the harbour, along with a bottle of satisfying red wine. It cannot be overstated how pleasant the views from the balcony really are.

There were many highlights to reflect upon, too many to mention all of them here. However, high on the list were St Tropez (harbour, bars and market), Sainte Maxime and best of all (according to my wife) Port Grimaud. Since we were only there for a week many venues were not visited and, therefore, we plan to return again next year in order to complete unfinished business. Really a week is not enough time to fully appreciate this beautiful location.

It was a pleasure to visit this lovely apartment and many thanks to the owners and their local team, who were very helpful. Again, many thanks.

Relaxing Getaway

My wife and I (both 28) enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The apartment was all that was advertised. We found it clean, cozy, and fully equipped. We enjoyed the location and it's proximity to old town St Tropez (about 15 minutes by car with little traffic, but it can be quite busy). The apartment is within walking distance of a large Casino supermarket, convenient for stocking the kitchen. We enjoyed the local beaches and small shops as well as those in the nearby towns. The owner and property manager were both extremely helpful and friendly. Parking was ample and easy to use. I recommend this property.

Lovely marina apartment

We spent a great week at this apartment. It is on the second floor of a largish block overlooking the marina. It was very comfortable, with balcony at both the back and the front.
We spent most of our time on the front balcony, watching the antics of many boat owners, quite entertaining.
There are some shops, restaurants, small supermarket and bakery on the marina about 15 minutes walk away. About the same walking time is huge supermarket called Geant which opens until late six days a week.
Port Grimaud is well worth a visit, about 30 minutes walking distance.
You can catch a ferry from the marina to St Tropez, takes about 15 minutes at a cost of 11 Euros return. Saves a lot of hassle going by car and trying to park.
We had hired a car from Nice airport for the week and were very glad. It allowed us to get out and about, especially as public transport is very brilliant.
All in all a good week in a very comfortable apartment. If you like boats you will love this apartment. Communications with the owners was first class and Andrea was always most helpful.

Our fantastic holiday

We know the area very well but this was our 1st time in these apartments and we were not disapointed.

The apartment is even better than the photos! very clean, with everything you need plus brilliant views from the balconys.

The site has everything from fresh bread to restaurants (the vietnamese one has to be tried, its great), you can stroll aound safely and is within walking distance to some beaches and a short drive from others.Our favourite has always been Tahiti.

We will definitely be going back as we had a fantastic relaxing holiday and would highly recomend the apartment and the site.

Relaxing break looking over a marina

As my wife, who was a school teacher, has retired we could take a holiday away from the school summer holiday period. We were looking for a pleasant break with warm weather and no pressure.
Les Marines de Cogolin provided this. Sitting on the balcony drinking cold wine whilst looking at all the antics of the different boat owners manoeurvring into their berths, endlessly washing and polishing their boats. Quite exhausting to watch!!
The weather was warm but with the bedroom balcony and the living room balcony doors open there was a pleasant breeze.
We always take our laptop so a key reason for selecting this apartment was that it had reliable internet access. Meant that BBC Radio 4 was always available.
The beauty of being able to walk around to the beach, have a swim, often talking to other English speaking people whilst in the water and then being able to stroll back to the apartment was wonderful.
We had our car but felt happy to spend time on the balcony reading, drinking with the regular swims rather than driving around,
The hypermarket is close so you can get all you want for self catering.
It was a very relaxing week though my wife got fed up with me taking photos of the boats and the calls to look at some inexperienced crews who nearly had an early swim.

Great Summer holiday in September

The apartment is each cent worth. we (my girlfrien and I both 32 years) had two lovely weeks.
First day we were shocked at the small local beach : the water had just 17 °C. Next day it was about 20°
You have to get up early, if you want to make a trip, because the streets are soon full...
You can have quite good dinner in the harbour. And it is much cheaper as in St. Tropez.
We recomment to come by car.
We had a realy nice sightseeing and beach holiday.

The apartment is in the Var which is an unspoilt area of the Cote d'Azur. Lovely perched hill villages and Markets, Festivals and Fetes abound. The beaches are sandy and safe with endless water sports, fishing, sailing, diving, snorkeling, riding and more. The famous St. Tropez market is a must and you can 'people watch and celebrity spot' whilst sitting at one of the many port side cafes or brasseries. There is the Nualage or big ships race in October, the Bravades, Cannes, Nice, the famous 'Corniches' and Monaco Grand Prix in May, all just 1 hour away, and many summer Festivals. The Chestnut Fair is celebrated in La Garde Freinet in October whilst Christmas in St. Tropez is a delight with the silver lights threaded through the plane trees in the Place des Lices. Nearby Cogolin, Ste. Maxime, La Croix Valmer and Gassin or as far as Eze or Italy are within reach by car or boat. The marine is quiet neighbour to the famous Port Grimaud - the 'Venice of France' , worth a visit.

  • The apartment is available for longer winter lets at a reduced price - please contact owner.

    Prices apply to date of arrival and fully inclusive for two people.
    Linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own towels for beach/pool use. We can provide details of hiring for any additional equipment as required.

    Cleaning materials are provided and guests are respectfully asked to leave the apartment in good clean condition as they would expect to find it. Supplementary cleaning on departure can be arranged.
    Prices are based on 2 people.
  • Booking secured upon receipt of signed rental contract and 25% of the rent.
    Balance of 75% rent plus a security deposit of GBP 250 (held against damage) is due four weeks prior to arrival to guarantee booking. Security deposit will be refunded within ten days(subject to satisfactory property inspection).
  • We accept payment by bank transfer.
