Close to the nursery slopes, this 72 sq m. self-catering apartment, with a further 17 sq m. south-facing balcony overlooking the Kitzsteinhorn mountain, is owned and managed by an English family and is available for holiday rental throughout the year. It is located on the first floor of a three-storey development. The apartment comfortably accommodates up to six adults. There is also free underground parking and a secure private ski garage. The village centre, ski-lifts and ski buses are just a few minutes walk away. A leisure centre is even closer and offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa pool, sauna, solarium, massage, gym, restaurant, etc. Accessed by a lift or staircase, the apartment has a spacious lounge/dining room, entrance hall, two double bedrooms (one with double bed, one with two singles), kitchen area, bathroom with separate shower and bath, separate WC and cloakroom. The lounge has a double bed settee. The dining table seats six people. Ideal for summer or winter.

The apartment is ideally situated in the centre of Kaprun, about an hour and a quarter's drive from Salzburg airport. Bus-linked to Zell am See (8 km away), Kaprun makes up part of the 'Europa Sport' region, with 130 km of pistes over four mountains. This includes 35 km of pistes on the Kitzsteinhorn mountain (3,000 m), whose glacier provides genuine 365 day skiing and the Maiskogel mountain whose ski lifts run from the centre of Kaprun. The Schmittenhohe mountain is slightly further away, towards Zell am See, and has 80 km of pistes. For novices, the Lechnerberglifte serves the nursery slopes that are close to the centre of the village. All four areas are bus-linked and covered by the same ski-pass. The region is perfect for beginners and intermediates, yet still provides off-piste challenges for more advanced skiers. For even more varied skiing, Kaprun is not far from the ski areas at Saalbach, Hinterglemm and Leogang. Lifts to the Kitzbuhel Alps are only a 30 minute drive away.

We've just returned from a week in Kaprun. The owners rented their apartment to us & we were thrilled with the entire experience of our white week away. Flexibility with mid-week change over dates, the location, facilities & cleanliness were all superb. Couldn't recommend the place more highly. 5 of us stayed there and there was more than enough room. Weather was great, snow conditions even better. Hope to go back in the summer and again next snow season!!!

A Splendid Find!

Like the earlier reviews, I am extremely enthusiastic about this property which is ideal for winter or summer stays. The location is probably the only one in Europe where summer skiing is possible even in the heat of August. I think the previous reviewers have covered how clean and comprehensive is the actual accommodation. I want to make a mention of the owners who were absolutely terrific before departure and during our stay when we had difficulty connecting our laptop to the internet. Julie and Mark were easy to contact by telephone and great to deal with. When the problem with our laptop arose, they went out of their way to come up with a solution for us. I am looking forward to a return visit and cannot recommend this property and its owners highly enough. They and the apartment are gems!

lovely unit, lovely owners

Fantastic place!!! The unit has everything you require for a relaxing ski holiday. It is very clean and spacious.
It is very close to the village centre and the ski slopes, however Kaprun is a small village, so everything is pretty much within walking distance.
The owners are very helpful and go out of their way to accommodate your needs.

Excellent Apartment made the holiday!

We were stunned when we walked into this beautifully furnished spotlessly clean apartment. The balcony is huge and the view of the Kitzsteinhorn is splendid. The bedrooms are very spacious while the living/dining area is a modern and relaxing space. There's even a large storeroom where you can get rid of shoes/suitcases/coats etc. In the large bathroom the shower is very powerful and the hot water never runs out.

There's really nothing at all that is negative about this apartment. I just hope we can get booked in for next year!
