Beautiful

For the sake of full disclosure, I should acknowledge that the guy who owns this place is a friend of mine, so I'm naturally wel-disposed towards him. That, however, doesn't detract from Harvest Moon's quality. It. Is. Stunning.
The spacious, open-plan ground floor is built for lounging, with a huge sofa and numerous laze-inducing chairs. The main bedroom overlooks peaceful rice fields, offering a truly gorgeous view of the sunset. The kitchen is fully-appointed and beautifully designed, although the preponderance of good, reasonably-priced food in Ubud sometimes threatens to render it superfluous.
The outside space is what really makes Harvest Moon special, however. The deck invites play, yoga, or simply gazing in wonder at the natural beauty of Bali. The private pool entices whenever temperatures necessitate a little cooling off, or circumstances call for some cheeky skinny-dipping. There's even a balé for giving and receiving massages or, at night, al fresco sleeping.
Just in case all that's not enough, there's another, much larger pool at the front of the villa, and a first-floor bedroom as lovely as the ground floor.
