This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa with a private heated pool has a spectacular view of two intersecting canals. You can access the pool from two of the bedrooms as well as from the family room and living room. It is situated in a quiet area, but there are restaurants and a shopping plaza with a large grocery store just a 5 minute drive. Gulf Beaches are just 15 minutes away. There is a huge living room and also a separate family room that has a 52 inch television screen. A lovely new dock overlooks the canal and it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the abundant wildlife. The large lanai with swimming pool is a great place to relax after a day of sight seeing. Sip your morning coffee or tea and watch the sunrise over the canal. Enjoy this paradise and relax! The home is situated between Port Charlotte and Englewood in an area called South Gulf Cove. There are a number of beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico within 20 minutes drive such as Englewood Beach, Gasparilla Island and Boca Grande which is a lovely old Florida town. Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota has been voted one of the best beaches in Florida and it is only about 40 minutes drive. While there you must visit St. Armands Circle which is full of fabulous upscale stores and restaurants. The historical town of Venice with its lovely beach is a short drive and the many shops and restaurants of Port Charlotte are within 15 minutes drive. Interstate 75 is about 20 minutes drive and all the tourist attractions in Florida are easy to get to via this highway. Disney World, Sea World, MGM and all the attractions of Orlando are within 2 1/2 hours drive. You will be provided with lists of places to visit. There are so many attractions within easy driving distance.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The rent quoted is up to 4 guests. Add 12% tourist taxes. Rent includes barbecue grill, heated pool, cleaning after you leave! For each extra guest add £20 per week up to a maximum of 6 guests. The only extra is a refundable security deposit of £200 which is returned once the villa has been checked.

Notes: The spa that is attached to the pool is non operational. There is a maximum of 6 guests. Children will be allowed but prefer them to be over the age of 5 years and no more than two children. You may ask regarding the ages of your children. If you wish to rent a boat at a local marina you can dock the boat at the boat dock at the back of the villa. There is a beautiful dock that is on a large canal, great for watching wildlife.

Further Information: The Tampa Bay Rays Baseball team Spring Training has now moved to Port Charlotte to the Charlotte Stadium only about 10 minutes drive from the house. In the summer the Florida State Baseball League Charlotte Stone Crabs will be playing there. The villa is close to golf, boating and beautiful beaches. ASK OWNER FOR WEBSITE WITH LOTS MORE PHOTOGRAPHS AND INFORMATION. Average weather from November - April is between 65-85 degrees. May - October 90+ degrees. Jan will provide you with a list of all Places of Interest to visit in and around the area and will also personally contact you after you arrive. Any problems you may have are dealt with immediately. ENJOY THIS PARADISE!

Golf and Places to Visit: If you are a golfer there are numerous golf courses within a short distance. The person renting out this house has a website that will be given to you and it lists all the golf courses as well as other places of interest near by. She will provide you a detailed list of places to visit once you book. If this home is not available, there may be other homes in the Port Charlotte area that could be available. Inquire. Contact Jan re info on her website and see all the golf courses in the area.

Tranquil vacation

We have rented this gorgeous villa for the month of March the last 2 years and are already looking forward to our return in 2010. The villa is very well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The view from the lanai is very picturesque. You can see lots of turtles, birds, fish and the occasional aligator and otter swimming in the canal in front of the dock. The area is very quiet and tranquil. Beaches are only 15 minutes away, groceries are about 5 minutes and Port Charlotte itself is about 15minutes. The brochures provided give lots of ideas for sightseeing and for dining. The owners and Jan (the overseer) are very helpful and do everything they can to make your stay perfect. I highly recommend this villa for a very relaxing vacation in the sun.

In a nutshell

A party of 4 adults, we stayed in the villa for 2 weeks in October 2008.
The villa was easy to find, we flew into Orlando and it was well worth the 3 hour drive there. When we first went in we went from room to room saying WOW!
The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The view from the lannai across the waterway was spectacular and as the name says very tranquil.
The rooms were all very spacious and light and the bedrooms and living rooms comfortable. We both had a very nice ensuiute bathroom.
There was plenty of tourist information available in the villa and we visited some of the recommended restaurants which were very good.
We were very central to most of the main tourist attractions (by American standards) 3 hours from Orlando and 4 hours from Miami. There were lost of clean and quiet beaches close by and some great shopping malls within easy reach. There was a large supermarket 5 minutes drive away. You definately need a car if you are staying here though.
The information sent by the booking agent concerning local amenities and attractions was excellent and helped us to plan some of our trips out.
We had a problem with one of the toilets while we were there which was dealt with very on the day it occured by the owners who were easy to contact.
On our last morning there eating breakfast looking out over the waterway, we felt so sad to be leaving such a lovely home. So sad that we have booked to go back for another 2 weeks this autumn! We highly recommend this property and location.

True Tranquility

We stayed at tranquility in Nov 2009 we had one of best says in America at this beautiful villa. We had great fun sitting out on the deck watching the turtles and other wildlife. he villa is excentley maintained and evry small need is catered for. There is more than enough room for a family of four which we were. The surrounding areas to visit are all picturesque and Jan provides more than enough info for places/restaurants to vist. I would thoroughly recomend a stay at Tranquility if you are looking for a week to chill or equally if you need a base to travel.

The name fits the home

If you are looking for a place to relaxe this is it the home is very clean and well maintained with every thing you could need I live in Florida but on the East coast the beachs sun sets and shelling are far better and it is only about a 15 min drive from the home and if you like to fish you can sit at the dock and catch your own dinner I hope to go back one day

Xmas & New Year 2008/9

My wife and I had a very relaxing 18 days at the Tranquility villa. The villa itself was spacious, well equipped and exceded our expectations. Although we were fortuate to have unseasonally warm weather throughout our stay, the heated pool was very welcome.We were joined by my brother and his wife for a week after the new year - but still did not use all the space the accomodation affords. We thought the little extras such as potable music centre and DVDs made the holiday just that little more special. Money cannot buy the sunrises and sunsets that we experienced from the pool and boat deck areas.

Shops and restaurants are available in less than a 5/7 minute drive, although the main areas are a 20/25 minute drive.

We enjoyed the experience so much we have booked again this year - we hope to explore Venice and other areas we missed due to sunbathing, fishing and just enjoying the property. Once you have stayed there, you understand why the property is so named.
