Enjoy life in Tokyo!
I stayed with my partner and parents (4 adults) in the Ueno apartment for almost 1 month over the summer. We had an amazing time in this beautiful and ultra-modern apartment. Hisae showed us around the apartment upon check-in and explained the key features. An information book was left behind which further explained things. The apartment was spotlessly clean, modern and had everything we needed. The views were amazing being on the 22nd floor - you could even see the Skytree! All appliances were in excellent condition and seemed quite new. There were washing and drying facilities which we needed for our long stay. The wifi always worked well. Having the use of the 2 bikes was an added bonus and was a great way to see Tokyo.
The location was great - only a 5 minute walk to Nezu station, or 10-15 mins to Ueno Station which was a major hub with plenty of shops and restaurants. There was a Sunkus convenience store across the street and 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. Ueno also has a lot of attractions such as museums, the zoo an of course the park and pond which are across the street.
All in all we had a great time here and would love to return!
My family had a wonderful stay at the condo in Ueno Park. The condo was well appointed with gorgeous views. We had everything we needed in the rental. The manager met us upon our arrival and gave us a very comprehensive tour. The condo even came with a very thorough information book about all the appliances and everything else we would need for our stay. Ueno Park is a great location for a tourist. The building is only a 10minute walk from the train stations and there are many restaurants within walking distance from the building.
We would wholeheartedly recommend the condo! We look forward to our next stay!
Everything was very clean and functional. The booklet explained how to use all the appliances, which was very helpful if you can’t figure out the Japanese buttons. There was plenty of room for two adults and a teen. Two couples or a family of four could easily stay here.
As nice as the apartment was, the best feature was the location. Directly across the street is Ueno Park which was a pleasure to explore. There are many museums, temples and the zoo. On the other side are plenty of shops and restaurants, including the Ameyoko market area.
Three metro lines are easy walking distance, as is the Ueno train station. So it was easy to get anywhere. You can even walk to the Akihabara electronics shopping area if you like walking. The two bikes that come with the apartment are another great way to see Tokyo, or just get some exercise biking through the park.
We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Tokyo.
We visited in March, at the very start of Hanami season. Ayako was very helpful through email before we arrived. We travelled by shinkansen from Osaka, and with her clear instructions found the correct train to Ueno and were able to walk to the apartment from there with all of our luggage. Ayako met us at the apartment, showed us how things work and where instructions were if we had questions. The apartment is clean, well laid-out, and surely has some of the best views in the area. From Sky Tree to Tokyo Tower to Mt. Fuji, the views were breathtaking! No need to pay to go up Sky Tree when the views from the apartment are just as good. Day or night, we didn’t tire of watching the city outside the windows. We are a family of 5, so the apartment was cozy but not crowded. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to control the temperature for each room. The kitchen and bath were fully equipped and the washer/dryer came in handy. Umbrellas were available for us to use as well, and they came in handy for the rainy days. We were not brave enough to try riding bikes in Tokyo, but they are available for those who are.
The apartment is situated in the perfect part of Tokyo, especially for those of us who aren’t used to big cities. Shinibazu Park was a great place for our runner in the morning, and I could watch him from the apartment as he made his rounds. None of us felt as though we were in the midst of one of the most populous cities in the world when we had a park and zoo right outside our apartment. We wandered the shopping districts, visited the zoo – which is the oldest zoo in Japan – and went to the Museum of Nature and Science on a cool and rainy day. A friend of our daughter lives within few blocks of the apartment and he told us that we ended up in one of the safest areas of Tokyo. We walked everywhere and felt entirely safe, even late at night. Dining near the apartment was always a treat, and anything we wanted was within 15 minutes walk. We felt very lucky to have chosen this property out of all that were available in Tokyo! As noted by others, the apartment is a quick walk to the Ueno and Nezu stations, making all of Tokyo accessible.
At the end of our stay, Ayako came to check us out. She was a gracious hostess, answered our questions via email during our stay, and was willing to work with our arrival and departure times. We felt at home while we were here and will stay here again, if (or when) when we visit again
We (I, my wife, and my two daughters aged 17 and 10) spent 10 days in this flat, and the word that comes to me is "perfection".
We first met Hisae Takata the property Manager, who was very nice and very helpful, and explained us all about the flat.
It is very clean, comfortable, very well-equipped and quiet (we never heard any noise). We felt at home.
The neighborhood is very pleasant, the entry of the UENO zoo is in front of the building at about 60meters (you can see the famous pandas).
the park is very nice, there is a lot of museums, temples in it.
We loved to eat in the restaurants close to UENO station. They are very cheap (you can eat for less than 10 dollars), but very good and typical.
Once we ordered dishes at the indian little restaurant close to the building, we enjoyed a lot.
From Ueno Station, you can go everywhere in tokyo (max 30 mn to any point) and anywhere else (for example we visited Nikko , Kamakura, Enoshima, Hakone, for just a day trip for each destination).
I recommend this rental! When I come back to Tokyo, I'll take this one again!
Had the pleasure of spending almost a week at this beautiful apartment. We have a family of 4 (2 children ages 15 & 11) and this fit us perfectly. We were greeted upon arrival and she took the time to show us the apartment and answer any questions we had. The apartment is beautifully decorated, modern, and new. Everything we needed was provided (toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner/soap, napkins, dishwashing liquid, cooking supplies, dishes, fridge with some basics already provided). The views were amazing!!! My husband and I took the room off of the living area so that we could enjoy the views day and night, and also allow the kids to sleep when we were up at 3AM with jet lag. Honestly, there are no complaints whatsoever. The staff were available if needed and responded quickly to a request to leave a few hours earlier than originally planned.
It is convenient to Ueno Station (about 10 minute walk through the park) and Nezu Station (subway is about 5-8 minute walk). Ueno is a perfect jumping off point for exploring the city. Many lines run through Ueno Station. There was also a large supermarket (3 floors of shopping) across from Nezu station which had almost anything you could need with a large selection. There is even a Hard Rock Café at Ueno Station. Don't forget to check out the cool shopping areas around the station. Well worth a walk in the evening when it's lively and fun.
