CENTRAL LONDON MAYFAIR FLAT W1

We enjoyed our stay at Laurence Delany ’s flat in Adams Row, Mayfair , over the New Year period of 2011/12. We are a family of five, two parents and three adult children (the third adult child slept on a trundle bed in the living room which was fine but a little tight for space). The location is excellent in the centre of Mayfair , the flat is close to a convenience store, not far from supermarkets and close to several pubs. Oxford Street and Green Park (both of which have tube stations) are only a 15 minute walk away. There is a taxi rank opposite the flat outside a 5 star hotel which is convenient for shorter trips. As an example of how convenient the flat is to major attractions, on one evening I found myself in the flat watching TV in old clothes at 7:15 pm. By 7:30 pm I had got changed and we had taken a taxi to Trafalgar Square and were sitting in St Martins in the Fields for the start of an evening concert. The flat is within walking distance of the Palace, The Mall and St James Park from where we watched the New Years Eve fireworks on the Thames . Since the flat is a family house it is fitted out with family photographs and momentos which lend it an air of homeliness. The hot water in the showers and some of the appliances can be a bit tricky, but they do work. The only reservation I would have when considering the flat is if the fairly narrow and winding access stairs to the second floor might be a problem to negotiate for anyone in the
