Well equipped and comfortable with a nice garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful, we often used email to communicate with them during our stay to answer our questions or if we needed anything. We had a couple of small problems and these were dealt with immediately. It would be better if they stated in their details that they ask for a donation towards the cost of logs for the woodburner as this is the only form of heating. We would happily stay again if we were to return to Madeira. Its position is ideal for touring around the island and there are several walks locally. We were there in January and it was a very peaceful location. The local restaurants are within a couple of hundred meters and provide good food at reasonable prices..
Owner's Response: It was with great pleasure that we had this couple very nice in our house. Whenever our customer asks us for help we are always ready to respond to your request immediately, because it is the satisfaction / fulfillment of our customers and what drives us.
Regarding firewood to heat the house, in fact the payment optional, just ask to collaborate with some value for firewood, because I have a very poor family who collaborates with me to get the wood, and thus the value that is to get them.
