TAMARIND HOUSE - Location, location, location!

We appreciate the good things in life, this magical villa at the end of a cul-de-sac is one of them! As we arrived it was impressive. Our luggage was taken to our very efficient air-conditioned rooms. We were all amazed at the size of each room and the number too. We all 'got lost' doing our own thing for 2 weeks! We felt at home and chilled out fast. As the sun rose we walked the local residential area, cooling down on our return with a refreshing dip in the splendid pool. The gardens were a delight and well kept, putting our gardening efforts to shame. We took breakfast together on the enormous terrace shaded by the glorious banyan or at nearby Sandals. We occasionally dined there, delicious but not expensive! The house attendants looked after our every need, shopping for us and providing tasty lunches there. Rooms were meticulously clean along with the patio and pool. 5 minutes to the beach, we sunbathed on the sand or swam in the warm sea. After lunch we lounged out by the pool with no fighting over sun beds or one day of rain to moan about either! Afternoons, we headed back to the beach. After amazing sunsets, we showered in the well appointed bathrooms, dressed and at dusk all met up on the patio, taking a beer or a G&T with local cashews before deciding on where to dine. Perhaps a restaurant in Panjim or home, as the house attendants would cook or arrange a takeaway. Eating out is cheap and cosmopolitan. We’ll go back to every restaurant we visited and try more. We walked scrumptious meals off by strolling along the beach. Never a dull moment, we became spectators of entertainment laid on by the local resort with firework displays or an Indian wedding, something to behold! Nights were warm, we took dips in the pool before retiring to those massive comfortable beds. We read books, played music or watched TV. We recommend this villa, it has it all. If you appreciate fauna, birdlife and photography, you'll be in your element. If you like to mooch around or shop, we found Anjuna and Panjim markets and the Bombay Bazaar there interesting. Don't miss out on a bargain Arrows shirt or should you need a pair of cheap specs or contact lenses, Romanos Optics opposite the Municipal Garden will look after you. We found Qatar Airways flights with one stop in Doha, superb. Thank you Tamarind House, we look forward to going back when time permits, we're also sure you'll have a tremendous holiday there too - what a life, we loved it no end! Musk family - Chilterns
