Ferme la Salvetat is a delightful 17th century farmhouse in Aveyron, built of local stone and set in 16 acres on the edge of a hamlet with open rural views. This spacious farmhouse has been refurbished to a high standard and tastefully furnished with antiques gathered from the owners travels through Asia and the Middle East, giving the property an exotic flavour. The region, surrounding this farmhouse in Aveyron, is ideal for walking and cycling. The River Aveyron and Aveyron Gorge offer opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. The Aveyron' s main town is Millau, now famed for it' s new suspension bridge. The fortified cathedral town of Albi, birthplace of Toulouse Lautrec, is one hour away and sits on the banks of the River Tarn. Castres is home to the Goya museum. There are tennis courts and an animal park at nearby Rieupeyroux, which hosts a Sunday market. Exceptionally, this farmhouse in Aveyron has a large heated pool with beach style entrance making it ideal for children.

Rodez airport 40 mins. Albi 1 hour. Tennis, walking, cycling, horse riding and canoeing locally.
