SWALLOWS NEST : Being the slightly larger of the two, sleeps up to 8 people plus an infant. Deceptively spacious with vaulted ceilings, galleried landing & floor to ceiling windows, the open plan lounge area offers ample comfy leather seating, 40' Flat screen free view TV & DVD player. The dining area has a large wooden table & chairs which then leads on to the open plan kitchen, with everything you can possibly need inc a dishwasher. There is a washing machine & a second fridge freezer in the utility room & you'll also find a large shower room with toilet & wash basin on the ground floor. Upstairs off the large galleried landing you'll find 3 beautiful bedrooms & a bathroom. Bedroom 1, a huge family room with a double bed, 2 single beds & a cot. Bedroom 2, a spacious double bedded room. Bedroom 3, a lovely single bedroom with an additional pull out bed if req.

STANDBURY WHARF SWALLOWS NEST BARN

A truly great place to stay, a lovely barn conversion with plenty of room if you have a large family. The outdoor area is very good with plenty to do for the little ones, this was our third stay and we always call it our second home. The owners Scot & Sally make you feel at home and their two boys are great.

Once again a great location between the Devonshire & Cornish boarder's and close the coast it's a place you need to experience.

REALLY LOVELY PLACE TO STAY

We had a fabulous week at Swallows Nest. The place itself is gorgeous - and very comfortable. We had booked it as we needed a week off with the children following a period of working very hard - and we could not have chosen somewhere better.

The two sheep were a great attraction for the children - and they are probably the friendliest sheep I've ever met! Oscar the dog was also a big attraction for the children - along with the ducks, the chickens and the climbing frame! We know South Devon very well, but we don't know North Devon at all. However, this was the perfect base for us to explore the more rugged North Devon coast.

Swallows Nest itself is very big - there were only four of us and it clearly would be quite comfortable for at least six - although that was one of the reasons we booked it! It was also warm and remarkably cosy for a barn conversion.

We could not recommend it highly enough and hope to return ourselves one day.

A GREAT WAY TO START THE NEW YEAR!

Upon arriving at Swallows Nest, we were all overwhelmed at the size and quality of the property. It far exceeded our expectations and the photos on the website did not do it justice.
We had been looking for somewhere to spend the New Year away from the hustle and bustle, where we could relax, go for walks and cook. We couldn't have picked a better place. Set in fantastic surroundings, Swallows Nest was clean, had a fully equipped kitchen, was warm and cosy and the beds were comfortable.
We would certainly recommend a stay to anyone and although we were an adult group, kids would love it to. We hope to return in the summer months.

GREAT TIME HAD.

Stayed in Swallows nest 10 - 17th September 2011. The barn was fantastic and done to a very high standard. Great sunsets, rural location with friendly sheep, chickens and ducks to keep our 16month daughter fully entertained! Holsworthy is a great place to be based as it central to many places to visit including Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude and Appledore to name a few. There are all the amenities that you could need in Holsworthy including a Waitrose. The eggs from the onsite resident ducks and chickens are a must. We will definately return.

A lovely property - excellent standard with everything you need for a home from home. The photos are really accurate, although looks even better when you arrive. Very spacious - great for our family get together. Scot and Sally are excellent hosts. Thank you both.
The location is great - local shops and supermarkets and a few miles from Bude. Great for kids with the park, trampoline and local walks with the dog.
All in all, a lovely stay and we'd definately recommend.

Its a nice quiet location, well maintained and very clean. The hot-tub was a winner for the kids and adults and was an excellent base to explore the surrounding area. Kids also loved the trampoline, and animals too.
We will definately be back.
