SWIFTS BARN sleeps 6 plus an infant, beautifully furnished to extremely high standards and with floor to ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings & galleried landing, the open plan accommodation is bright & spacious. The lounge area has two comfy leather sofa's & an arm chair, free view TV & DVD Player. The dining area has a large wooden table & chairs & leads on to the open plan kitchen which has everything you can possibly need including a dishwasher & washing machine. There is also a large bathroom on the ground floor with bath, vanity sink & toilet. Upstairs off the galleried landing you'll find three beautiful bedrooms & a lovely shower room with corner shower, sink & toilet. Bedroom 1, a large double bedroom with beautiful wrought iron bed. Bedroom 2, a large & comfy twin room & bedroom 3 a cosy bunk bedded room.

We have all had an amazing time here in Devon.

The sun has shone all week, so lots of trips to the beach.

The barn is fantastic, beautifully done & extremely comfortable beds.

The children have loved playing outside with Dylan & Ellis whom they will miss very much!

Easter at Swifts Barn

Our family of 4 and 2 of our friends were lucky enough to have the Easter week 2011 at Swifts Barn. We had a perfect week at Swifts Barn. The accommodation is spacious, very clean, modern yet comfortable and cozy. We had some very welcoming touches in the form of fresh eggs, a bottle of wine and Easter Eggs for the boys. The accommodation provided us with the perfect opportunity for either spending time relaxing in the grounds or going to the beach or tourist spots ( Eden Project etc). The family are very welcoming and were very helpful, the play area is perfect as it provides the children with entertainment in a safe environment. Would recommend Swifts Barn or Swallows Nest to anyone.

happy holiday

We really loved swifts barn it was the perfect holiday cottage, so much so we have booked again for next year.
Scott and Sally were really to us and very helpfull, this made us feel very welcom.
Our children rerally enjoyed making friends with Dillon and Eliott and loved feeding the sheep, chickens and ducks.
The location was really nice and we felt it was a safe and secure place to let our children run free.
We can't wait to return next year.

Swifts Barn

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swifts Barn, from the warm welcome as we drove through the gates of the property, to the good-byes at the end. For the bit in the middle we had a great time. The barn offered all of the amenities and creature comforts needed to make the most of a self-catering holiday, with plenty of pots and pans and plates and cups, the all-important kitchen knives and all in a clean and tidy environment. The kids made the most of the outside space, stress-testing the swings, slide, trampoline, and, to their dismay, the ducks and chickens! Certainly a property to go onto the short-list for a revisit. Thanks to Sally, Scott and their boys our batteries are now fully recharged as we return to the rat-race in London.

A Very Pleasant Week

Well after much searching and hunting I came across Stanbury Wharf. A lot of other properties I looked at just didn't justify the price they were charging for a weeks stay but Stanbury Wharf was perfect.

We had a very relaxing week despite the weather not being the best and the hosts Scot and Sally were truly fantastic.

I highhly recommend staying at Stanbury Wharf as it's the perfect location for exploring both Devon and Cornwall.
