An ideal Winter and Summer self catering rental in the South East of Austria close to the borders with Italy and Slovenia. Easy access to the area by flights from the UK to Klagenfurt (40 minute transfer), Graz, Salzburg and Llublijana. Located in the small picturesque village of Hermagor this 3 bedroom apartment (sleeps 6) in Hermagor within 10 minutes of the slopes at Tropolach (Nassfeld) by ski bus and the beaches and walks at Lakes Weissensee and Pressegesee. The Nassfeld ski area has recently enjoyed considerable investment and now boasts the longest cable car journey in the Alps stopping at 3 points to join the 100 kms of pistes. Facilities include 3 double bedrooms (1 containing 2 single beds), fully equipped kitchen (with dining table), living room (with TV), balcony, bath room and separate toilet. Apartment extends to 92 square metres and has its own covered parking and cellar space for ski equipment. The free ski bus stops c200m from the front door (during the Winter season.

Ski: The Skiarena Karnten (Nassfeld-Hermagor) is a little known gem of a ski circuit. The ski resort has a good snow record due to its high altitude (over 2000m) and comprehensive snow cannon coverage. There is also a great selection of pistes and reputedly the longest gondola in Europe: from the village of Tropolach (610m) the new Millennium-Express gondola, carries skiers to the Madritsche at 1990m.
