Tremithousa Vacation Rental villa

Despite being armed with step-by-step directions to the villa provided by the owner we couldn’t find it. We rang the contact number given to us incase we had any problems and spoke to John who explained that the villa numbers do not run in order (okay we are in Cyprus now!) and gave us directions to our villa (which we had passed several times without realising!). We were not let down by the description of the villa. It was immaculate and spacious. For those who want to cook you have a microwave, oven, huge fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and the owner does not confiscate any handy items left by previous owners so we had lots of washing & dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials, toilet rolls and tea bags! The kids were also pleased to see there was a DVD player and satellite tv although the stations were limited – but who goes to Cyprus to sit in the villa all day watching tv. Our friendly contact John visited us the next day to check if we had any problems and to show us how to use the facilities. The owner had arranged for bread, milk, butter and eggs to be left for us which we were grateful for as this meant we did not have to immediately rush out and stock up on the essentials - especially handy when you don’t know the area and are exhausted after your trip. The villa is on three floors and the top floor takes you onto a roof top terrace with stunning views of mountains and sea. The area itself is extremely quiet – so quiet in fact that you will find yourself whispering to each other in the garden. Great for those who like reading outdoors but find themselves distracted by noise. There is a large communal swimming pool about 1 minute walk from the villa. A short drive or 10 minute walk from the villa will take you to a parade of stores including the most fantastic bakery we have ever encountered, a friendly supermarket and Granny’s Kitchen serving good old fashioned English grub and some Cypriot food at reasonable prices. Everything you need is conveniently located and so if you don’t have a car it’s not a problem. Most evenings were spent in the hot tub located in the garden looking up at the stars. The girls in our party were over the moon that no matter what time you got in the hot tub it was always heated and yes we mean bath temperature ladies! To sum up this place is just ideal for everyone apart from party animals. If you want somewhere to unwind and de-stress I can’t think of a better place to be.
