Secure 2 Bedroom Townhouse, sleeps 6, central N1, close to transport links

This secure and spacious luxurious three storey, 2 bedroom end of terrace townhouse, is situated in central london, N1, in a development next to Regents Canal . Private courtyard with off street car parking space, if required. Free WIFI is included, Loewe Widescreen TV, Freeview, Sony DVD, IPOD Docking Station and a selection of DVD's and books.

The property is close to the fantastic transport links provided by Kings Cross St Pancras, ideal for West End shopping (3 tube stops), City of London (10 minute tube journey) or Camden (2 tube stops). Islington is a short ten minute walk.

The ground floor of the property comprises of two double sized bedrooms, a brand new contemporary family bathroom with shower cube bath, his and hers wash basin unit with overhead lighting and mirror with matching WC. On the first floor, there is a kitchen, dining area for up to 6 guests and a separate WC.

The second floor mezzanine level, overlooking the dining area, houses a large, comfortable lounge area for up to 6 people. The dining and lounge areas have a bright and airy feel as they benefit from huge floor to ceiling double height windows and wooden laminate floors.

Check-in is after 13.00pm. Check out is by 10.00am. A damage deposit of £200.00 is required in advance of your stay, and provided there is no damage when the property is inspected after your stay, the damage deposit will be returned within 7 days, less any bank charges incurred, if returning to an overseas bank account. We may be able to be more flexible on check-in and check-out times, depending on whether we have departures or arrivals either side of a guests bookings.

Local Transport : The nearest Underground Station: Kings Cross St Pancras station is around a 5 minute walk away. King's Cross St. Pancras serves both King’s Cross and St Pancras main line stations. It is the biggest interchange station on the London Underground.

The Eurostar runs from the International St Pancras Station to many great European destinations.

Heathrow Airport – distance to the property is 19 miles. From the airport, you can take the Piccadilly Line (to Cockfosters) directly to King’s Cross underground station.

Both Kings Cross station and St Pancras station have a Left Luggage Office where guests can store bags if needed. Kings Cross office is open Monday to Sunday, 07.00 to 23.00pm. St Pancras office is open Monday to Saturday 06:00 - 22:00 and Sunday 07:00 - 22:00. You can obtain the current cost of storing baggage at www.left-baggage.co.uk.

Gatwick Airport – distance to the property is 31 miles. From the airport, travel on the Gatwick Express to London Victoria Station and then take the Victoria Line to King’s Cross underground station.

Stanstead Airport – distance to the property is 36 miles. From the airport, travel on the Stanstead Express to Tottenham Hale underground station and then take the Victoria Line to King’s Cross underground station.

Local Attractions : Only 3 tube stops away from Kings Cross underground station on the Victoria Line is Oxford Circus. Heart of the shopping districts of Oxford Street and Bond Street, home to West End Theatres and nearby Soho. Visit the famous department stores Harvey Nichols and Harrods taking the Piccadily line direct from Kings Cross underground station. Covent Garden is also only 3 tube stops away from Kings Cross underground station on the Piccadilly line and is bustling with shops and restaurants and pubs.

Islington is a short ten minute walk. Here you will find major supermarkets such as Sainsburys, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer, restaurants, individual boutiques and shops and a cinema. Sadlers Wells, the UK's leading dance house is based at Islington.

You can reach the City of London, the heart of London’s financial district on the northern line from King’s Cross to Bank in around 10 minutes. Landmark buildings here include the London Stock Exchange, Bank of England, Lloyds of London, Old Bailey, Smithfield Market, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Monument to the Great Fire of London.     Provided there is no damage to the property, the damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days. Any bank charges incurred in returning the damage deposit to an account overseas will be deducted from the damage deposit.   • Rates include all bed linen, towels, heating, electricity, wireless internet/broadband, off-street car parking and end of stay cleaning.

This property was refurbished at the beginning of 2012 with a new sofa, washer/dryer, dishwasher, dining table and chairs for 6 and all new linens/towels and crockery and kitchen utensils. At the beginning of 2013, a brand new contemporary family bathroom was added, the kitchen floor replaced, the back bedroom was redecorated. The lounge hosts an IPOD docking station to play music through. A small selection of books and DVDs are provided for guests use, along with a small selection of childrens books, toys and DVDS. The kitchen opens onto a small narrow, terraced area, where smoking is allowed. A cot-bed and high chair are available upon request. An off-street parking space, just outside of the congestion zone is available upon request and included in the rates quoted. Check-in is after 13.00pm. Check-out is by 10.00am. However, we may be able to be more flexible on these times, depending on whether we have departures or arrivals either side of a guests bookings.

home from home......

we took a big risk having a break away from our cosy home at this time of year - but we needn't have worried..... we had all home comforts and were oblivious to the raging snow and unusual cold that London experienced at that time. Saying it is like home from home is a major compliment because any properties you rent should be at the very least the same standard as your own - and hopefully better.
It was all perfect for us and the location was brilliant.
In addition the owner is a great communicator and couldn't have done enough for us - that made it all the more special!!!
we really hope we can return!!!

The spacious townhouse was perfect for our Easter trip to London. Very nice rooms, well equipped and located - more relaxing than a hotel! We will cerainly come back.

First Class ! Will definately be back !

We chose this property as it was walking distance from Kings Cross (easy 2min walk) as we came to London on the train. The property had parking which the rest of our party used. The house far exceeded our expectations/hopes, was fantastic and very handy for public transport and a short walk to Islington. A really lovely spacious house with everything provided - "home from home". Rebecca/host was really helpful before we arrived and as we came with our 1 year old we appreciated having the travel cot, highchair, toys available.
Beds/Bedding are also high quality & slept very well.
In comparison to Hotel accommodation this is a no-brainer - much much more for much less £.
Host was also a wee bit flexible on our checkout time - which was a great help - many thanks !

We had planned to eat out quite a bit but as there is a Tesco nearby, we decided to eat in as the kitchen had everything we needed & the huge separate dining area, we made great use of the huge dining area.

We made use of the first class internet connection (15 Mbps) and there was plenty of bandwidth to stream HD movies ( used Sky Go/BBC Iplayer). A member of our party spent couple of days working - a reliable internet was critical.

We will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends.
I have had a good think and really struggling to make any recommendation - think only thing which might be handy is if TV in living room had HDMI cable provided - so could of hooked laptop up to big screen to watch movies - no hassle though, next time I will take one.

Tip: would recommend if going by train do a search on internet - there is a visit London site - print out a voucher & get many attractions 50% off - including. Tower of London. out favourite place to visit.

local bars we visited all seemed very friendly.

All in all first class ! only wish the score on here was out of 100 so could give a more accurate full marks.

Lovely place, lovely owners.

Having just returned from the property, I felt compelled to write a review straight away.

Having booked last minute and getting a great deal on the place, we were expecting the worst, especially due to Kings Cross' shadier past. However, upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The property is an end of mews with a parking space (the reason why we'd initially chosen the property). Kings Cross itself seemed to have gone some re-generation and isn't as seedy at all.

The property inside was clean, spacious and very comfortable. My husband and I travelled with my parents and our 1 year old baby and we all had plenty of space to move around.

Rebecca and her husband who own the property were extremely helpful to deal with prior to arrival. Instructions were very thorough. They also provided a baby cot and highchair and some toys to keep our little one amused, which was an absolute blessing (as we simply could not have fit anything else into our car!) It was a lovely, pleasant and comfortable stay.

Its near some lovely restaurants and bars (Royal Thai - yes, Camino yes, Canal 123, no no no!) Its a max of 7 minute walk to the underground, although we used the bus routes frequently (Oxford Circus on the 390 in 30 minutes, a 2 minute walk to the bus stop).

I would highly recommend staying here.

As our son is 4 years old, I appreciate the amount of stuff that you need to take away with you to keep little ones amused, hence, a small selection of toys/DVD's at our property for our guests!

I would agree with our guests comments about the Kings Cross area, which is being massively re-developed, having formerly had a reputation for being a bit seedy in parts. The new Eurostar terminal and shopping centre in St Pancras along with the University of the Arts, which are already completed, are only a small part of the massive redevelopment in the area, which is ongoing for the next 10 years.

Kings Cross is being developing into a 'cultural' area with new theatres, independent cinemas, exhibitions etc, which is great news for the area and for visitors. WIth Kings Cross being extremely close to the West End and other attractions, it makes it easy for guests to visit all the sights in London.

Great Stay in London

We found this to be a good apt. in a great location with easy access to London's main attractions. Despite being so central the apt. is off the main street so it is nice and quiet at night. Kings Cross station and tube is only about 7 mins walk.
