The "Tiki Hut"

This newly renovated house sits on 3/4 of an acre in Shelter Harbor, a private community on Quonnie Pond.

The "Tiki Hut" has an open floor plan which blends the stone fireplace and Oak hardwoods with the kitchen area, perfect for open-air entertaining. A stereo system is provided with CD player, receiver, and speakers. An Ipod input cable is available for whatever music suits your evening mood. The furniture is tasteful and comfortable while the furnishings are almost all new. Large wrap-around deck for serenity and/or entertainment looking down on wooded property. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable.

A Great Choice In Westerly, RI

It was very refreshing to arrive at a rental property that afforded us exactly what it said it would. The online photos were truly representative of what we found at Tiki Hut. Well appointed kitchen, clean and spacious living areas, ready-to-go gas grill, wi-fi service, comfy beds, good showers, plush towels, and many other Tiki Hut amentities made for a most enjoyable stay. The downstairs living quarters also created a nice separation for our traveling partners. An added bonus was the large front porch which provided comfortable lounging with a fun, active bird feeder. Westerly, including Shelter Harbor's private beach and the community, is a beautiful area with great places to eat, walk and explore. Not only do we see ourselves staying at Tiki Hut in the future, we would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We also found the owners to be very approachable and receptive to our needs. A nice vacation was had in June 2011!

We just returned from our third stay at The Tiki Hut and once again we had a spectacular time! We wouldn't think of staying any other place now that we have found our home-away-from-home in Shelter Harbor. We love the open floor plan of the main living space where our family prepared meals together, played games and just relaxed after a long day at the beach with a movie. The wrap around sliding glass doors allowed our kids to play outside on the decks without being out of sight. Everything in the house is updated, very clean and tastefully decorated. On our most recent stay, family friends visited for a few nights and we easily slept 5 kids and 4 adults in the large bedrooms - space was not an issue.
We also love the location of the Tiki Hut. The private beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in New England. It is never over crowded and our children explored and played for hours without the worry of getting lost or moving out of sight. We also took advantage of the close proximity to Watch Hill where we love to browse in the shops, get some ice cream and let the kids ride on the carousel. Block Island is also a nice day trip and the ferry is very close by. We also always visit the Mystic Aquarium and Newport. There are many restaurants in the area that serve great seafood dishes or you can head to the fish market to buy fresh lobsters and cook them up at home. We always seem to run out of time before seeing all of our favorite spots - that's why we keep coming back each year!
We'll be booking our 2011 stay very soon. Thanks for a wonderful time!
