Chalet Vanoise is set in the heart of the original Courchevel village of Le Praz. The Chalet is only a 5 minute walk to the gondola that takes you up to Courchevel 1850 and beyond to 'Les Trois Vallees' (Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens).
Usually you can almost always ski back to Le Praz or there are regular buses from Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1550 and La Tania plus the gondola from Courchevel 1850.
Le Praz has several bakeries, local supermarket, several bars and restaurants (Les Perpliers, Le Bistro, Darbello, Pizzeria, The Drop Inn and others), ski hire shops, post office, church, first class butchers which sells some ready made fresh meals when you don't fancy cooking or eating out!
Whilst Courchevel is a renowned world class ski resort, there is much to do for non-skiers and summer visitors. including climbing, walking/hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, swimming, horse riding.
Vanoise National Park is a car drive away.

Ski: Courchevel is made up of 4 resorts: Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1550 and Le Praz (1300) – the numbers depicting the height of the resorts. Each resort is unique but all offer a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, ski hire and ski schools. Courchevel is part of the ‘Trois Vallees’ which is made up of Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens. However, it includes access to La Tania, Brides Les Bains and St Martin de Belleville.
