The 6200 sq.m property leaned against the Alpilles and located in the most sought-after area of Maussane boasts of an exceptional view of the valley of Les Baux-de-Provence. This rental preserves your search of tranquillity: misaligned compared with the house of the owners, separated from this one by a small uninhabited building and protected by the vegetation, it boasts of its own access path. Environment-friendly materials: whitewash coating, ecological paint, heat pump and thermal and sound insulation. The access to the pool (10x5 m) is to be shared with the 2 tenants of another gite (located in front of this one) is free.

The street level and air-conditioned rooms open from every side onto the beautiful landscapes of the Alpilles and the garden. The 2 bedrooms boast of a reinforced sound insulation and open to the south onto a private and sheltered terrace. The living room opens onto a covered and shaded terrace with Mediterranean plants and the Alpilles in the background. High standing comfort. Ideal for 2 couples.

Beautiful property in a lovely area of Provence

The property is beautiful, very well-maintained and comfortable. The two bedrooms are perfect for two couples and the views from the bedrooms are stunning - over the lavender and other flower beds, olive trees, pool and countryside. The location is perfect: quiet but close to the small town of Maussane with its wonderful outdoor restaurants and amazing food. It's also handy for visiting many interesting places and sights. The owner is very particular, but it didn't spoil our stay. She respected our privacy.

Owner's Response: I am "very particular" ? The words which are the most usual about me are kindness and discretion in the appréciations on Abritel and in our visitors'book : I like very much to welcome people ! I accepted that these tenants manage one hour and a half prematurely normal to arrive (therefore, I did not lunch!), I helped them to carry their luggage: no word of thanks ! Upon their arrival in the cottage, not a word either, even when they have seen the botle of orange juice that I have put for them in the refrigerator! It was icy ! Worry, I even asked them if the cottage suited them ! And then, I saw again them only the day of the departure because they have not ask me for anything : the region, the monuments, the markets ... They carefully avoided us !

Beautiful, safe and relaxing!

A beautiful, safe, clean and private cottage located literally at the foot of the Alpilles, about a mile outside of Maussane. Its central location in Provence gives you easy access to St. Remy, Les Baux, Eygalieres and even Avignon. It's an easy 55 minute drive to the Marseilles airport. The grounds are gorgeous and you will quickly find a lower resting heart rate as you sip a Rose by the pool, terrace or olive grove. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, shower and terrace - making it an ideal rental for 2 couples. The town of Maussane is quaint and has a lovely square with outdoor dining. The owners are helpful and respect your privacy. Everything is very well organized and all necessary info is detailed in a renter's binder (the only downside is that it is completely in French). A damage deposit and local taxes are due upon arrival. This is a truly beautiful and well-situated home base to explore Provence. We would definitely return.

Ideal location for touring

We really enjoyed our week and felt the property and views exceeded our expectations. We based our choice on the reviews and photographs as well as the location, which was ideal for touring the local area. The separate facilities were ideally suited to our 17 year old, who was able to enjoy her own space (with internet!) Owners kindly provided her with choice of DVDs in English.
Maussane itself has a lively atmosphere in the evenings and the property was spotless and well maintained by the owners, who run a tight ship. You will be assured of privacy and tranquility but have the option of reaching many of the key attractions quickly and easily. The week went far too quickly and we would be delighted to return.

Dieses wunderschöne Landhaus hat alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt und noch übertroffen: Die Lage und der Ausblick sind einzigartig, die Vermieter ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, gleichzeitig aber zurückhaltend genug, um jederzeit genügend Privatsphäre zu garantieren, die Ausstattung des Hauses ist völlig neu, perfekt und sehr geschmackvoll, der Garten ein kleines Paradis und die nähere und weitere Umgebung traumhaft geeignet für Ausflüge jeder Art, ob Wanderungen in die Alpilles oder Radtouren gleich vom Haus weg, ob Ausflüge nach Saint-Rémy, Arles oder in die Camargue, ganz zu schweigen von dem in der unmittelbaren Nähe gelegenen Maussane, einem typisch porvenzalischen Traumort. Es gäbe noch viele Highlights aufzuzählen, aber am besten, man probiert das Haus einmal selbst aus. Man wird, wie wir, immer wieder dorthin zurück kehren wollen.

Un lieu de rêve

C'est un vrai lieu de rêve que nous avons découvert après tant de séjours dans la région! La vue des deux terrasses est magnifique et c'est juste pour cette vue qu'il vaudrait le coup d'y retourner... Mais puis il y a encore le beau jardin avec ses oliviers, ses plantes splendides et sa belle piscine.
Et ensuite c'est l'intérieur de la maison qui nous a tellement plu et où nous nous sommes sentis si bien. Tout est meublé et décoré avec tant de goût et l'équipement de la cuisine est tout neuf et parfait! En plus, nous avons bien apprécié le fait que chaque chambre a sa salle de bain et sa terrasse privative, ainsi notre fille de 18 ans a pu profiter de son coin <à part>.
Mais tout cela ne serait rien sans l'accueil extrêmement chaleureux et toujours discret des propriétaires. Nous nous sentions parfaitement à l'aise dès notre arrivée. Un grand merci encore!
Enfin, il ne faut pas oublier le fait que les alentours de la maison - on se trouve juste au pied des Alpilles - se prêtent pour faire des randonnées à pied ou à vélo et qu'il y a des villages pittoresques tout autour, sans mentionner les grandes destinations touristiques de la région.
On n'a simplement pas envie de quitter de ce lieu de rêve!

geweldig locatie, heerlijk huis

Absolute aanrader voor wie in de Alpilles wil verblijven. Vlakbij Les Baux de Provence, Op kwartier lopen van dorp Maussane, met goede restaurants en plezierige cafés. Heerlijke tuin aan de voet van de Alpilles, ruim zwembad, mooie slaapkamers met eigen terras, uitkijkend op de vallei. Interieur zeer verzorgd en lekker schoon, luxueuze badkamers/wc met veel zorg ingericht. Mooie lakens en badgoed. Hele lieve eigenaren, veel privacy, ik wil volgend jaar weer!

In the unspoilt environment of the regional nature park of the Alpilles, 1.5 km away from the beautiful village of Maussane, 5 km away from Les Baux-de-Provence, 12 km away from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and close to Arles, the Camargue, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Avignon and the Luberon, the property, leaned against the Alpilles with a dominant position, offers an exceptional view of the valley of Les Baux-de-Provence to the south and of the Alpilles to the north. Its stretches over 6200 m² and is fenced and closed with an automatic gate. It is composed of 3 terraces: the 1rst one is an olive grove, the 2nd one has a patch of lavender and a pool and the 3rd one is the one of the house with also laurels, roses, plumbagos and rosemary.

Golf: there are 2 golf courses (18 holes), the one of Les Baux-de-Provence and the one of Mouriès (Servanes).
