Casa Maria is a 3 bedroom fully air conditioned villa all on one level. It is situated on the residential estate of Quinta dos Alamos which has lovely cobbled streets, a park and a small children’s play area. Guia is famous for its chicken piri piri restaurants and is about a 5 - 10 minute walk away. It also has a daily market, supermarkets, cafes, pharmacy, a bank and some small shops. For larger shops there is the Algarve Shopping centre which is 5 minutes drive and has a bowling alley, cinemas and larger shops. Albufeira with its old town and new marina is a 10 minute drive, as are the wonderful beaches of Gale and Salgados. Salgados golf course is 5 minutes away by car. Private swimming pool can be heated.

Casa Maria is situated on the Quinta dos Alamos residential estate, a 5 minute walk from Guia,famous for its chicken piri piri restaurants. Guia has numerous restaurants, a daily market, banks, cafes, a pharmacy and some small shops. For larger shops, a food court, cinema and bowling alley, the Algarve shopping centre is only a 5 minute drive away. Zoomarine is located on the outskirts of Guia and is 5 minutes in the car. There are several water parks along the Algarve, with Aqualand being the closest. Two more can be found within a 20 minute drive. Some of the best beaches in the Algarve can be found within 10 minutes of Casa Maria, with Gale and Salgados being our favourites. For those looking for history, the ancient town of Silves is within visiting distance and although being further away, Cape St Vincent is well worth a visit to witness the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Notes: Kitchen - New in 2006 fully fitted and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic hob and electric oven. There is also a breakfast area looking out over the garden and pool. Outside the kitchen is a sun/dining terrace with brick built BBQ. Spacious lounge/dining room with two sets of patio doors one leading out to the pool and the other onto a small terrace. There is satellite TV (limited channels), DVD and CD. Air conditioning. Towels and bed linen are provided and are changed weekly. Please bring your own pool/beach towels. There is a regular maid service. The villa is all on one level and there is only 1 step from the outside terraces down to the garden and pool area.

We, together with two friends, have been visiting the Ghia area for over 20 years, rarely staying at the same villa twice. We have made a number of personal friends in the area and endeavour to visit Guia at least once each year.
Since first booking with the owners of the Casa Maria on the Quinta dos Alamos estate we have now stayed at the Villa for the last 4 consecutive years and hope to continue staying there well into the future.
The contact with Karen (the owner) has been both professional and personal and has helped to make booking and our stay at the Villa that much more emjoyable.
The air conditioned Casa Maria is comfortable, clean and well appointed and the optional heated pool is definitely a bonus. The Villa, as mentioned before, is situated on the the Quinta dos Alamos estate with its beautifully maintained gardens and shrubs.
The Villa is close to a varied number of quality restaurants and the village of Guia is within walking distance.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Casa Maria to people wishing to holiday on the Algarve.
