Hvar Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Choice of 3 charming self catering apartments minutes from unspoiled beaches

A spacious typical Dalmatian style Villa providing three self contained family apartments located in the beautiful old waterfront village of Vrboska, on the stunning Croatian Island of Hvar. A romantic, family or activity holiday heaven. Each apartment is beautifully and uniquely furnished to provide comfort and privacy. Each apartment has private access, private outdoor terraces and access to an 'outside' living room, barbecue area and beautiful mature gardens with orange, pomegranate and grapevines. The waterfront is moments away providing a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops. The Villa is situated in a quiet location but within minutes walk of miles of beaches and crystal clear water. Ideal for group bookings and parties. Air conditioning, flat TV's,satellite television, DVD's. linen, towels, fully equipped kitchen and all facilities are included.

Local Beaches: Coral Sea Villa is located within a short walking distance of local beaches. The village of Vrboska is situated on an inlet providing sheltered bathing in clear and safe waters. The beaches extend for several miles along a peninsular with a footpath/bicycle path all around the peninsular. The whole peninsular can be walked in around one hour and there are numerous locations for private bathing or busier beaches. The main beach has restaurant, grill, and bathroom/shower facilities. There are also several naturist beaches for those looking for an all-over tan. The Dalmatian coastline is mainly rocky, but in the water there is sand. This accounts for the crystal clear waters. Pedaloes, small boats and bicycles can be rented to explore nearby islands, fishing or to access other villages and towns. Day trips, with meals included can be taken from Vrboska to the nearby Island of Brac, famous for its breathtaking snow-white beach.

village attractions: Vrboska is arguably the prettiest village on the island of Hvar. It is a small fishing village in a picturesque inlet. There is an international marina popular with flotilla sailing holidays providing an international flavour. Numerous restaurants offer a range of sea-food and local dishes, the close proximity of Italy has resulted in pizza and pasta restaurants flourishing. Several supermarkets, a bank, post office, tourist bureau and children's playground provide all that is needed for a self-catering holiday. The nearby town of Jelsa (4kms) has more nightlife and the famous British run nightclub and wine bar called Vertigo. English is not widely spoken other than in restaurants, bars and tourist bureaus. German and Italian is also spoken. The old part of the village is a classic example of old Dalmatian and Venetian architecture. During the summer/tourist season, the village is pedestrian only, excepting delivery vehicles.

Other attractions: The town of Hvar is the capital of the island and has become famous in recent years as an alternative 'Saint Tropez or Monte Carlo'. Super yachts spend the summer in the protected harbor and one regularly bumps into the rich or famous. The famous Carpe Diem nightclub is a regular haunt of the famous. The town is approximately 20kms from Vrboska and is worth a day or night trip. A regular bus service is operated from Vrboska during the day, but taxis are needed at night. Closer to Vrboska is the quaint town of Jelsa with a Venetian square surrounded by cafes, ice cream parlours and souvenir shops. A high-speed catamaran operates from Jelsa allowing visits to the mainland or the neighboring island of Brac. The Island of Hvar is famous for its Lavender, olive oil and wine. Hill walking, mountain biking, painting, hang-gliding are all popular. The island is safe and peaceful. Tourism is important to the island and everything is done to welcome the tourist.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed in Main Deck apartment last august and we want to recommend everyone Coral C villa. We had great holiday and we just booked it for two weeks this year. Location is fantastic and apartment is very spacious, nicely decorated, and clean, kitchen is well stocked and all in all one of the best private accommodations we ever had. I must say that pictures on the advert do not do any justice to this place. We highly recommend Coral C villa and we are looking forward to go back.

Highly recommendable!

  • 5 of 5

Date of stay: last week July and first week of August 2008

We were 2 families who stayed in the Main Deck and The Bridge apartments for 2 weeks. (Both families have 2 kids, 6 and 8 years old).

We are very satisfied with both the apartments and the place and will recommend the apartments for our friends. We think we got good value for our money!

Vrboska is a very beautiful and picturesque place with very nice surroundings. It is suitable for people who don’t want too much noise. If you want more street life you may go to Jelsa and the city of Hvar in the evenings by bus.

There are beautiful bathing places within a short walk from the apartments and there are a lot of places to visit with bus and boats; Jelsa, city of Hvar, Bol ++.

Use Google Earth and search for Vrboska and look at the pictures of the place!

Very nice!

Underbar villa på en underbar plats

  • 5 of 5

A great place for a peaceful rest !

  • 5 of 5

Vrboska is a very nice place to rest and have a good time with your dearest, but it's hard to achieve that without a great house/apartment to stay at. My first reaction when we arrived was "NICE!". Hospitality was on a high level, and the "Main Deck" was great, because it had 2 rooms with total of 5 beds, and a living room where 2 people could sleep. For 7 of us , it was a complete package. The balcony, the balcony was just incredible, we enjoyed every second of it, especially at night. We ate there, slept, worked out, played games and lots of different fun things you can do.

The house is very nicely stationed, the beach was close, so was town and all the shops and supermarkets. I personally prefered "Soline" beach, which was about 15 minutes away by foot. The road was very enjoyable because it was just near the water in the nature, so the trip itself from home to beach was great.

In conclusion , I sincirely reccomend this house because it has all You need for a memorable rest on the sea :)

Ruhig, romantisch und freundlich...!

  • 5 of 5

Familie Kleitke, Kiel, Germany (Sommer 2012):

Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen wieder !!

Highly recommended - we loved it.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4 and stayed in the Main Deck for 2 weeks in August, we had a fantastic time and loved Vrboska.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and suited our needs.

Although the living space inside the apartment was a bit tight for the 4 of us, the outside area more than made up for it. The large private balcony was fabulous, and the outside kitchen was a lovely shady space to BBQ and eat in the evening.

The owner was extremely efficient and obliging whenever I contacted him via email - taking time to give me lots of information about the area.

Hvar is absolutely beautiful and very easy to get around; the buses take you everywhere you need to go.

Vrboska is a perfect location, very pretty, quiet and peaceful, with plenty of bars and restaurants all along the waterfront.

We are already thinking about returning next summer.

Good value for money and a nice location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed just two nights at this property. Although we had been promised the Main Deck for both nights, on arrival we were put into Crow's Nest for the first night. The owner's mother looks after the property and is very friendly but unfortunately doesn't speak any English at all and we had to make a call to the owner - who incidentally lives in South Africa - and she was very apologetic which we really appreciated. I would also say that the website descriptions are rather misleading as for us (family of 5: 3 kids aged 14, 13 and 10) the Crow's Nest was definitely far too small. There is no room for empty suitcases, shoes, swimming gear etc etc. In the "master bedroom" there is no room for storing any clothes, it is very small. Also the kitchen, which is upstairs and very hot - no air conditioning upstairs - is tiny and dark. However, it does have a very nice terrace - but considerably smaller than the one pictured on the website. The Main Deck is much more spacious, although it definitely only has one bathroom and two bedrooms; our third child slept on the pull-out sofa in the living room (pictured on the website). So all in all I'd also say this property is by no means "luxurious" but for the price it's fine. We appreciated the location - there's a beautiful beach close by (Soline) and the village of Vrboska is delightful. It is only a five-minute walk to the harbour where there is a good selection of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets.

Fly directly to Split airport and then a short (1 hour) ferry trip from Split harbour brings you to the town of Stari Grad and then a short (10 minute) ride to the picturesque waterfront village of Vrboska. Steeped in history the winding back alleys and ancient churches offer something of interest for all ages.
