The property is in a small development with large attractive communal gardens and pool, five minutes walk from the town and beach of Sant Feliu de Guixols. The villa has been recently modernised and is very light and airy with marble flooring throughout. There are three large bedrooms on the first floor (two double and one twin) and separate bedroom with two single beds on the ground floor. Bathrooms and kitchen are excellently equipped. There is a large living room and dining room with a sun terrace and private garden.

The villa is a five minute walk down the hill to the picturesque bay and harbour of Sant Feliu with its safe sandy beach, tree-lined promenade and marina. The town has a wide choice of good restaurants, bars and shops. The surrounding area has golf, tennis and water sports with lots of lovely bays and coves and great coastal walks.

Sant Feliu and its surrounding area: Sant Feliu and the surrounding area can provide a great holiday. The countryside is green and pretty, the coast has lots of coves and small resorts. Sant Feliu is not a big resort and has a feeling of real Spain. The people are welcoming and genuinely child friendly. The food is good, local and fresh, and the wines are delightful. Don't expect English teas or fish and chips - those are for the big resorts. Sant Feliu is for Spain and the people who like 'things Spanish'.

Attractions: Visit Barcelona, historic Gerona and the Salvador Dali museum at Figueres. Perhaps take a drive up to the mountains of the Pyrenees, visit Andora or cross the border into France. In Playa d'Aro, fifteen minutes away, is a large water park with plenty of flumes and pools to suit all ages.

Getting There: Barcelona airport is an easy 90 minute drive to Sant Feliu. Girona airport is a 30 minute drive and is served by Ryanair and BA. Meeting and transportation from both airports can be arranged. Car hire once in Sant Feliu can be arranged at competitive prices.

Great town, wonderful property

My husband and I spend time in Europe every year, coming over from the US. We flew Ryan Air into Girona, which is only about 30 mins from San Feliu. The property was perfect, in a quiet and beautiful area, but still only a quick 5 or 10 min walk into town. The villa was clean, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner even arranged to have some special baby items for us (cot and high chair), since we were there with our 2 young children. There was also a welcome pack there for us when we arrived which had a variety of food and drinks, prefect for tired travelling parents. The location was great, with a stunning view to the sea from an old hermitage just a couple of steps from the villa. We found San Feliu to be a safe, family friendly town with great shops, restaurants, and bars. The boardwalk there along the beach is perfect for families, lots of entertainment for the kids. It was a convenient base to do road trips from, too, though you wouldn't necessarily need a car there. We saw some of the Dali museums, drove up the coast to some picturesque coastal villages, and even spent a "city" day in Barcelona, which is very close. Even though we visited in the winter, the weather was really good, sunny and very mild, with only one rainy day the whole trip. We definitely plan to come back in the summer with our extended family to enjoy some of the warm weather there. The kids would love the beach then and there is a very nice pool in the gardens of the property that would be great to use then, too. I highly recommend this property and plan to stay there again.
